Increasing thc potency

based on the research I did when I wrote my old Truth about Flushing thread I water my plants with boiling water when ready to harvest, best description I can give you is it speeds everything up, makes a dried bud taste like it has a 10 day cure also fades em faster
Kills the roots and deprives the plant of O2, this causes the plant to start fermentin its sugars into alcohol to survive, it is a natural response to floods in all plants, boiling water simply makes it happen instantly. They begin to pull from the leaves and fade in the final days after the boil. It speeds everything up, including the cure.

Just a few months ago @RM3 posted about this boiling water method....I believe he still does this practice
Yeah he does, as far as I know.........I'm still kind of put back buy it.
Just searched and couldn't find it......Wait! Is it that he does an Ice water drench that we may be confusing it with?
Ah, I'll wait for Riddle to enlighten us....

AH! There it is!

Faster cure.....Not a THC increasing issue! I thought so...Hmm, "faster cure"........now how do I boil water in my op building - lol.
Still, I might have to try that!

BIG tip -o- the hat to Barn Buster.....

Yep it 100% works because science. Also if you call it a wanker plant every day during flower and a twat stalk during the last 2 weeks of flower it will be stressed/annoyed into making extra THC.
Because science.
I just put this poster up in the last two weeks of flower and they are hella pissed!

I heard from someone that once the plant is ready to harvest, you can place the root system into boiling water for around 15 seconds and it like, shocks the THC into the bud and makes it more potent. Does anyone know if this is true?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In all seriousness, should you find that you're toking like mad,

and getting little buzz, take a rest for 7-14 days or so,

as the effects(THC) does build up in the body, or perhaps its the body easily absorbs thc

either way, a rest is good in the biz its called a holiday!

good luck

a little copy paste from ht

After repeated tests using the same strains and a variety of controlled growing situations it was found that there is cause and effect when it comes to getting better qualities from their chosen medicinal cannabis genetics.

1. Bioactive substances that are naturally occurring can enhance resin content. In simple terms, there are 100 percent natural ingredients in crop nutrient supplements that can stimulate a higher concentration of resins in the buds harvested. This can help to increase dry weights as well as potency characteristics including terpene profiles and production. There is no “silver bullet,” so beware of outrageous claims, but there are ingredients in nature that will increase trichome production and resin secretion in a variety of crops, including cannabis.

2. Lighting Wave Lengths or Grow Light Spectra can be altered, with the most advantage being in late bud or ripening, to create a kind of “light stress” that triggers plants to secrete a more resins; perhaps as a defense mechanism. For example, by incorporating specialized light sources that use far red LEDs to tickle the plants will produce resin levels beyond what plants of the same genetics could do without. Seeing is believing.

3. Environmental factors like carbon dioxide levelsand temperature will also effect cannabis crop resin production; particularly during the ripening phase proceeding harvest. Lower CO2 levels will allow the plants to exhibit a higher ethylene level, the plant's self-produced hormone that assists in ripening and maturation, which includes resin glands. In some strains, lower temperatures during the final will create a stress that triggers plants to mature. Most cannabis plants, via genetics, take this as the “last lap” signal and give whatever they have left via their trichomes and resin secretion. It also stimulates the resins the maturation of the resin already produced, including aromatic characteristics.

How you handle the crop at and post harvesting will also effect the quality and characteristics of the resins your crop of medicinal buds produced, so handle with care.

YUP! That's right!

But, what their saying is you can increase the "resin" and you can alter the terps.....Not increase the potency OF the THC - that has a genetic "brick wall"..

K sulphates and Mg sulphates along with some form of sugar in the mix will increase the amount of trichomes, thus increasing the AMOUNT of available THC. NOT increase the potency of the THC!

Like I said earlier. You can increase the volume and that's what you do by increasing the amount of trichomes....

Understand now?

I have found to much temp is a problem. Since being below 80° my icky sticky is up.
Colder night temps or a bit larger temp "swing" from lights on to lights off can have an effect too.

You want more trich's? More "flavor".....

1 Gallon water (RO)
8 TBL Epsom salts
1 1/2 tsp DARK brown sugar
1 opaque gallon jug

Boil like 3-4 cups of the water and add the dry ingr. and boil for a few min stirring constantly to ensure the ingr. are dissolved.
Pour the hot water mix into the gallon jug with the rest of the water already in it and cap and shake well!

For the last week before the light change use 5ml per gallon of feed
at the flip - 10ml per
week 3 &4 15ml per
week 5 - 20ml till harvest

You'll get what you looking for with this...

The main thing I got from the article is that first and foremost you need to know your strain, as the article says "in some strains" and also states "in most strains" so again it comes down to experience being the "magic potion":peace:

At least that's the part I plan on working on
