always eye ball it. Whenever i feel the need to flower I just do it. But yeah it'd say 4-6 weeks as well.Your plants are quite a bit leggier than mine are. My internode spacing has always been close, probably the intense CFL I veg under. How long do you veg? I normally go 4 to 6 weeks, maybe longer if mainlining.
nice!!!! Lookin goood!....Btw would you recommend any USA seed banks. USA preferably but out of us will do as wellHere is a pic of a pineapple chunk that has vegged for 4 weeks. Topped a few times, ready to flower in maybe 2 more weeks.
yeah I will definitely look into thatI've used herbiesheadshop.com and bonzaseedbank.com neither is in the US, but I've had great luck with both. RIU has a seed bank sponsor, midweeksong.
Hey man! I'm running CFL now. I got a small area I was thinking of going to a sunspect 400 w led. Would this be an upgrade. My climate control is good. And my space is 2x3 with 2 plants. Should I say screw it and go with mh and hps or run the chance and get the led. Just looking for the best yield. I can adjust the other variables.but if all you have is a 300w led than yeah max 2 bro
That's pretty much the same light as the Mars Hydro or GalaxyHydro. They're dirt cheap, reasonably effective and they're not very good. They ain't crap, you can indeed grow good weed under them, but a DIY COB is a lot better.H

3500What color should I get In those chips. I'm running autos so I'd like a light I can use for veg and flower to keep it more simple.
a lot of factors play into it as well. All said & done I would go with led. In the long run its cheaper and If you live in a hot humid climate like me hps is as no go. Hps will cover more of an area and evenly distribute light as an led is not a big area coverage. When comparing a hps 400 and and led400w of course. Price also plays a big part including the light costs and light bill. If I were you I would get the led and use that cfl to do side lighting. Most people shoot for atleast 50w per/sqft. Overall make it work with the led until you get another led to go right beside it. 2 400w led for 2 plants. Perfect!H

Check out some of the DIY builds, it's intimidating at first but actually pretty simple once you get it figured out. If you're looking for a cheap DIY, grab 6 VERO 18 chips for 10 bucks each and an HLG-185-1050 for 60 bucks, a big passive heatsink and you're way ahead of the Mars crowd.
Is 11 inches too close for a 300w galaxyhydro? Thanks ps ive been on cfls and things are looking healthy. Put the 300w on them and might see a decline. That's pretty much the same light as the Mars Hydro or GalaxyHydro. They're dirt cheap, reasonably effective and they're not very good. That info helps. Going to take that advice too, thanks. Btw, do you know if all cfls that are full spectrum are grow bulbs? That's pretty much the same light as the Mars Hydro or GalaxyHydro. They'll work but very few ate actually grow bulbs. 6000 or 6500 for veg and 2700,3000 or 3500 for flower. That info helps. Going to take that advice too, thanks. Btw, do you know if all cfls that are full spectrum are grow bulbs?
You can find ECOSMART - 5000k ( Daylight ) or Feint Electric 6400k for veg. That info helps. Going to take that advice too, thanks. Btw, do you know if all cfls that are full spectrum are grow bulbs?
I agree growing with CFL / LED or whatever you like depends on how well you utilize the light that each can do .... Most systems have pros and cons , whether penetration , efficiency , heat , cost , etc.
Expensive indeed. I've used CFL for a while too and was happy with the results. I went to the GalaxyHydro and felt like it was a step in the right direction but more like a lateral move than a big step up.
I can't really get the solid bud density out of CFL or blurple LED. The up front costs of a quality DIY LED light are easily justified by the added lighting efficiency and product weight.
