NO! You do it in Flowering and just cut off one of the leaves with the branch and put it i the dirt.
thats terrible information. Cloning should be done with a plant in the vegetive state. Dip the water cut branch in a rooting hormone and you can place in dirt, rockwool, cloning systems....

That's the way it's done.

You generally don't ever clone the "top" of your plant...all you did was "top" it...now it will concentrate on the lower branches and make you have multiple tops.

Maybe if you restricted your comments to subjects you actually knew something about, you wouldn't have such a reputation as a fool and an attention whore. Food for thought?

That answer is about as wrong as it could possibly be. Check the Grow FAQ for advice on cloning as well as anything else grow-related.

im about ready to take clones of my plants to determine the sex(hopefully there all chics lol).
Everything ive read about cloning says to do it in the vegging stage, ive never seen anything on cloning in flowering? Im confused now! Lol
My plants are about a month old from seed and there really bushy now so i guess there ready for it :)

I clone my bottom branches during veg I saw a guy on you tube top during sec week of flowering and I thought to myself why? but his video was good and so was his yeild....I'd never clone during flowering seems like it would stress the potential clones even more than they are going to be anyway.. but I have never tried so.. I like the bottom brances as the stem is thiner, younger seems like they root better, just my way not the best way and get some rooting gel you can clone without it in dirt but don't be upset if they die rooting horemone also protects rooting area from fungus and the stuff is cheep

they got alot of info on how to clone m.j. on utube look it up u can do it basically in both stages depending on how its gettin treated is up 2 u
