Here are some quick photos of my VEG tent under the COB panels:

The girls are all starting to look better after their deficiency issues and new growth is showing on all the plants now and the leaf issues have stopped. I fed them just plain r/o water with epsom salt the other day and I won't water them for probably 2 more days in which I will be giving them a nice compost tea with epsom salt added to it.

Other than that not much else to share but some photos, enjoy!

Nice chunky buds! really frosty too! I'm definitely loving the COB lighting :) If I can remember this weekend I will check my brix levels, haven't done it in a while and kind of curious where I'm at :)

Hey Everyone...

So today makes day 29 of flowering and things are coming along quite nicely as the girls continue to get frostier and the buds slowly are getting larger and more full. Still quite some time to go

So today I decided to check some Brix readings to see where the plants were at.

Taking the measurements was at hour 5 of the daylight period which is typically when I try to take my readings, at the point of highest metabolism which would be my plants 11am hour..noon.

I took a sample where I always do, about 4-5 nodes down from the top, a fully developed leaf, and usually I take one that is covering another budsite so removing it serves 2 purposes

Here are the results:

Tangie #3: 14 brix
Ogiesel: 15-16 brix
Tangie #5: 15-16 brix
Tangie #6 (purple pheno): 17-18 brix
Fire OG: 18 Brix:
Black Diamond OG: 15-16 Brix
Tangie #8: 17-18 brix

I also noticed that many of these tests were not completely a defined line but more of a gradual shading which is supposed to mean more TDS.

Photos are in the same order as the test... Leaf first, then brix reading, starting at Tangie #3.

Today makes day 29 of flowering (from the flip) and the ladies are progressing nicely. Yesterday I gave them a feeding of some earthjuice tea with added hydrolyzed fish and doubled the amount of water volume so I will be waiting for a couple extra days to feed them again as the soil will take slightly longer to dry. Other than that not much else to report on today... so here are some pics !!

So today I took some photos of the COB tent (veg tent) with and without the lights off to show the plants progress. So far they look like they are recovering fine and most are showing some really vivid new growth. I gave the girls in both tents a foliar spray of R/O water with: amaze, pgr, jasmine tea, potassium salts and organic b vitamins with yucca and carboload. (all were added to 1 gallon of water in amounts under 5ml and most around 1ml).

I sprayed the girls in both tents and we will see how they look tomorrow. I added the potassium salts as they are easily taken into the plant and di-ammonium phosphate is shown to increase oil production in many plants if applied by foliar application.

Nice, good info. Yes I am real interested to see what you can do with those panels.

Ive been running 4x 3590-3500k and 4 x v29-4000k along w a uvb tube. Far as i know there really aren't any practical UVB diodes.
By coincidence just today I bumped into one of your old high brix posts. Are you currently following high brix practices?
Yeah i wouldn't trust uv leds as apparently their spectrum degrades in less then a year. The reptile fluorescent work well IMO

Was tempted to buy the budmaster cobs aswell but fuck me they're far 2 pricy atm but I've seen some great grows on icmag with em n know they definitely work.

So far I really like them, and for people like me that don't have the time or the area to build their own DIY its a nice solution. The modular build on them is nice too so a COB can be swapped with their 25 Osram SSL array/PCB to make a blurple/cob combo panel. I plan on doing this in the near future having the best of both worlds :)

Yea that seems to be the point we are at with UV, there are a few chips out there, but none really have the Lumen maintenance that would benefit us. For the price of 1 UV chip, we could pretty much buy an entire reptile uv bulb and housing.

So today's update entry is called "The Unexpected Visitor"

The Veg Tent (budmaster COB)

So I was looking at my veg tent the other day and my plants and noticed that I had 2 seedlings pop up in my pot that my Tangie #6 is potted in. I was pretty stoked to see this, however I am clueless about what strains these are, as about a month ago I dumped about a 1/2lb of my old buds dating back about a year or 2 into my soil to compost. I was going to use the old bud for butter, but I've learned that using old bud for butter, the degradation of THC into CBN really makes the butter turn out with a huge couch lock effect, I mean sleep a whole day or 2 type of couch lock. Even though it is great for pain or someone with insomnia, I didn't like how it would pretty much make me useless for a day or 2 after ingesting the butter, so I dumped all my old bud out into my soil. Therefore the seeds could be tangie, which did seed and I dumped all the trimmings in, but it could also be 1 of many strains that I have grown in the past year or so that maybe popped an unnoticed seed. I probably will keep them for now just to see I can recognize the plants strains by their leafs, however most likely I wont keep them because they are probably high potential for hermies.

Other than that the veg tent is looking good and the plants now are growing fairly well. I gave them another watering of just plain R/O water with epsom salt to help correct any soil issues and the plants have responded well. I still see that they will take some time to really thrive and be healthy again but we are on the right path

The flowering tent (budmaster GOD):

The flowering tent today is on day 38 of flowering, and things are looking very good. Growth has slowed down slightly over the past few days but the plants still are packing on girth and trichomes so I know they are about to hit that stage where they just explode in weight
For only using 340W of energy total in this tent, I am pretty impressed with how many buds are of good size at this point, which I was not expecting originally for the low wattage draw. I definitely could use 1 more light to really max out the size of the buds, but for only 340w they are doing extremely well in my garden
The buds are forming extremely dense and very very frosty which I love, and I think this harvest should definitly come close if not top my Gram/watt charts so far (hopefully) when all said and done
Needless to say the lights are doing a great job so far for the lower wattage and I expect a good finish in the coming month
I also gave the girls a heavy feeding/flush the other day to refresh the soil from any buildup of excess nutrients which the plants seemed to really like, and my next feeding will be in 2 days and will be an earthjuice tea.

Yesterday I also removed about a grocery bag worth of leaves, as I did a minor defoliation to help open up the dense canopy allowing more light to reach the lower nodes. I also re positioned many of the branches that have been supercropped to allow for excellent penetration and coverage making sure that all buds were getting good intense light.

Today makes for day 41 of flowering under the GOD's and things are looking amazing so far. I gave the girls a watering yesterday of epsom salts and water, but before I did I sprinkled some TandJ biominerals on top of the soil. Tonight I am preparing a nice compost tea consisting of some of my recycled soil, some biovam (mycos/bacteria) some yucca extract and some hydrolyzed fish which I will be giving the girls in 2 days or so.

I also added my 2 milk jug fermentation CO2 jugs to the flowering tent, and took them out of the veg tent as I didn't realized I had the room for them in flowering. Not that this will add much to the room, but I figure any little extra CO2 helps. I emptied out the jugs, filled them with water, added sugar, yeast and into the tent they went.

Well here are today's photos
