Hey everyone! So, since my seed hasn't germinated, I will call this Post 0:
Strain name:
Elemental Honey Bananas fem (x1)
Nutrients used:
Miracle Grow African Violet Liquid Plant Food and Cal-Mag+ as needed
Light source used:
IG200 induction lamp, CXB3590 72V 3000K @1.05A x 2
Media used:
Miracle Grow Organic Choice soil, no amendments
Germination start date & Day of sprout:
TBD

And just for a preview, here's my seed as it goes into the wet paper towel to germinate. There's nothing really remarkable about this seed over the other three in the baggie, it just happened to fall out first(lucky girl):

Ok, 1st germination post. So I fucked up my first germ post by not including the security image. Think I got this one right. Will use the original 5x seeds for a side grow in 2 oz./59 ml cups
Germ Date: 2/21/2016
Seeds: Blue Ripper (JTR x Blueberry) F2 Regs
Lights: Flower Room 12.5/11.5 CMH 315w (2 in room) + 630/660nm 10 min. before lights-on & 730nm for 10 min. after lights-out
Medium: 50% Pro-Mix/50% Triple Mix
Nutes: AN A&B supplemental every 3rd watering @550 ppm
Cups: Re-used from 6th/7th comp, fabric-lined, flow-through air holes, 16 oz./473ml
Included a pic of the baby Blu Mat's, will likely use them once they're into flowering
Germ & security image pics:
Original Cups from 6th comp prior to mods:
And, the 2 oz./59ml cups which will have the germ date of 2/18 and likely go into the cups/room tonight as 4x have sprouted tails. I may modify these but not sure, lining them would lose ~1/2 an ounce of medium

To be consistent, and have any chance of getting these 2 oz. cups past ~4 weeks. Behold my patent-pending, 2 oz./59ml, fabric-lined, air pruned party cups. Anticipating 100% germination, I made 1x more 16 oz. lined cup (right). Get your game on bitches
Going to have to water these 2oz. cups 3x a day & put them between the 16 oz cups so the fan doesn't blow them over...

I'm thinking of using them for all initial seedlings, lot less medium, do the first cull in the 2 oz. cups and "up-pot" them to 16 oz. cups if they look decent

If you're doing a bunch of seeds, it'd be a lot less space, work and medium. Going to give them a shot next round of seeds. Should be plenty of medium to get them established.

That's pretty similar to what I do. Coco in 2" met cups.
Basically if they dont do well, fast, they get culled. And I only lose a tiny bit of coco and perlite.
