Lol, you should givenit a try, it might end up being what you're looking for! I've heard of the A11 too, Bodhi has done some work with it recently, sounds pretty damn good too!
I also hear a lot of good feedback about female seeds, Ive got some Ice seeds in my bank!

I know of some others doing some work with Apollo 11 (or is it 13) too....just can't remember offhand who it is anymore......I'll have to think on that a bit. But the C99's and offspring are typically more sativa like and I'm preferring more indica leaning strains these days.

Come to think of it, I did a C99 by either Reeferman or TopDog or Mosca (probably his) a few years back made from Bros. Grimm genetics (the originators of the strain) and it wasn't too bad............but not good enough to do again.

The proble with Bodhi is they typically sell out so quickly, it's either order the day they come out OR you're shit out of luck!

Found some notes.....it was Mosca's C99, which was a hybrid of Bros. Grimm 99 X Reeferman C99. Very heavy yield, just missed the mark on potency- maybe a 7/10 or 7.5/10. Not sure if he's still doing it or not. What stood out was the early harvested plants as testers were nicely potent, but the longer other plants flowered, they lost a lot. So, the 7 and 7.5 week plants were a lot better than the 8-9 weeks plants. Don't know why, just was.

Funny you should say that about the Mosca C99, I've heard similar things from friends here who have grown in, one picked his right on 8 weeks and it was pretty good, my other mate left it for another week and it lost a fair bit of potency for not much extra yield, he left it until he had about 20% amber hoping for a more couchlock stone, he didn't get it. The stone was still good just didn't knock you down....it is a sativa though so mot sure if it would've been couchlock anyway!

Went with DNA's "Lemon OG Kush" for next time.....got a great price at Midweeksong for 26 beans (24 + 2 just in case). I've read about 100 reviews and although I wished it had a bit more indica in the buzz, nothing but raves across the board. I'll make sure I rally take them long hoping to bring a bit more body to the high.

And Corso, you may be questioning why I chose the lemon kush over the lemon skunk???

1. Lemon Kush gives a higher yield than the Lemon Skunk

2. Lemon Kush plants don't grow as tall as the Lemin Skunk

3. Seed finder gives the kush a higher rating: skunk is 7.91 vs kush which is 8.81, or there-abouts.

The only real advantage I see in the skunk is an earlier finish time by about a week or so..........

Back to Green Poison...........I see that Sweet Seeds finally posted the genetics of the G.P., which is Early Skunk X Skunk. Not much help of course, as I expected some skunk in there because of the smell in flowering.

Lol, doesn't give you much to go by hey. My last memory of early skunk was Early Pearl x skunk back in early 2000's. Early pearl was a great strain for outdoors though, was fairly potent too from memory!

LOL......the memories. Sensi did 3 different "Early" versions, an Early Skunk, an Early Girl (more indica based) and Early Pearl (75% sativa). The common characteristic as you know was they finish earlier than most others. Although Sweet Seeds did not state it specifically, I'm guessing they did use the Sensi Early Skunk version as a parent. Since G.P. started to be available in 2009, someone had the Sensi genetics for a long time.

I'm looking thru some very old seed catalogs trying to find an Early Skunk description.........

Found it...looks like it's still sold, but now in a feminized version. Genetics on this side appear to be Skunk #1 X Early Pearl, thus Early Skunk

Sensi (and formely The Seed Bank) had so much to do with the modernisation of cannabis strains hey, us growers have a lot to be thankful for!! It's awesome you still have catalogs from back then, inpressive!!

Well there you go, it's funny, I can remember so much about pot strains from long ago but struggle to remember my pin number sometimes ha ha ha. Great detective work mate :)

Ok.....day 32 in flowering. Check back to post #2 to see the growth exactly 1 week ago. Stinky skunk smell right now, with a under-lying sweetness that G.P. is known for. Super healthy, I've switched to an all bloom fertilizer for these next few weeks. Going great, couldn't be any happier. Buds are filling in nicely, just letting them be "all they can be"......
