They leak if saturated, but you don't want saturation anyway. Much like Air pots, they hold
a good amount of water, but its almost impossible to saturate due to good drainage.

They are wicked for root development. They help by making the roots grow back on themselves when they come into contact with the air. Saves them spiralling up and becoming root bound. And they do leak later on but I will set up a small frame (wire rack) when they are a bit more mature so any excess drains off and evaporates. I clean the base of the tent out when I take to the bathroom to water them. I use a luke warm shower to water them.

Tbh this are the best looking 2 week from seed plants I've ever had. Gonna let them veg as long as possible. I have oodles of head room (1.8m high tent).

There is already a few side shoots pushing outwards and upwards so happily moving along. Probably gonna drench the soil on Monday so all of it is moist for when I feed next week. Nothing worse than dry patches of soil when feeding.

If I see any fungus gnats, I top the soil off with 2 inches of pea rock then pour sand on top of that to fill the small voids between the pea rocks. Bottom water for 2 weeks and done. The soil bacteria can still grow but the gnat eggs are killed.
A horticultural grade oil like neem oil is effective against aphids and is non toxic too.

So all is well. Plants are growing at a nice pace. They look a bit droopy as they need a good watering which I'll do in morning when kids are at school. The 2 kush on the left are just pushing their 8th node out the older cheese is on 6 and the younger one is on 4. I'm probably gonna a veg these for 6 weeks or so as I'm looking for 4 bushes this time around. Wanna beat 180g from last run. Then next run I'm gonna be doubling my light bar. Will add some 5000k cobs next time so I have 3 of them and 3 3000k. At minute I'm only using 3000k veros and they are so tightly spaced I'm a bit worried about adding blue lol.

Anyome got some smaller vero suggestions to run on this driver. I have 4 of them. And if can save some money on drivers great. I have some spare bits of heatsink lying around but I was thinking or ordering another 1m one from tme.

I was thinkin vero 13/18 does anyone have the data sheets so I can work out how many ill need. If I could fit 3 per driver that would be great.

Never mind. Been looking around. I can fit 3 vero 18 on each driver. Just ordered 12 Vero 18s. Got 6 3500k and 6 4000k and I already have 3 vero 29 3000k so a nice mix. They will be driven about 550ma so not very hard but will be super bright in my little tent.

I'm interested in vero29 3000k
I wanted to put in 80x80:
2 cxb3000 bin AD (1400th) + 4 vero 18 3000k (700th) only flowering

CXB the two have in my possession, do you agree with this combination or the 4000k would be more suitable?

I am wondering if one of them blue cheese is gonna a be a boy. If it is I'm not overly worried. Will leave it in there to make some seeds as I love a free seed.

I'm thinking of changing the way I grow to do 12/12 from seed. I can squeeze 8 plants into my tent so thinking of a trying with 2 then adding 2 2 weeks later and another 2 2 weeks weeks after and so on. So I have a constant harvest instead of waiting for months in between. But will see if it's feasible.

The plants look as healthy as they can be. Nice!

Perpetual grows are definitely alluring, someday I'd like to go that route. I have some giant gaps in my knowledge, I really don't understand how "auto" seeds work, or how "12/12 from seed" plays out. I'll do some searches, see if I can find an overview. Even with the whole thing as a grey area in my knowledge, it does sound intriguing. :)

I haven't even fed them yet. This is homebase value compost (2 x 65ltr bags for £6) which I microwaved so the fact they are as healthy as they are I'm shocked, I will be feeding the 2 kush this week and the cheeses over the weekend probably as I don't wanna starve them

Just fo an insight... Kush will stink your house out. Make sure your carbon filter works well, particularly when you get closer to flower and through flower.

And when I say stink I mean stink!

I'm already starting to realise that. I usually stick an ona block in my extraction which covers most of the smell.
