I'm positive Sanders would never go for that as he pretty much hates everything Trump stands for, and having Trump so close to the office is a little more than I'm comfortable with

Unfortunately no. I think that Clinton has too many (perceived or real, depending on who you ask) negatives to survive that ticket. For some, Sanders would be reason enough to vote for Trump.

You've got it backwards.
Trump/Sanders
Trump has so much more real world experience that he would have to be the main name on ticket. Plus trump isn't going to be anyone's number 2.
Sanders on the other hand, might be willing to be the vp to trump if he were given certian promises that he could work on some pet projets of his and get some things added on trumps agenda.

I would not vote for anyone cause if Sanders runs with Trump then yeah he's just another crooked politician. But Bernie Sanders would have my vote if he ran independent as long as he don't run with Sarah Palin.
