Are 5 pounders possible getting started this late?

I have some I started in December that are intended for outdoor, but i'm debating if I should use those for a spring crop and start new seeds now for the full season. My original goal was to shoot for 5 pounds minimum, giving 200-300 gallons of amended FFOF, do you all think that's still possible this late in the season with seeds/clones?

some of the guys up north dont pop till next month or later and still net 5+ . depends on sun; soil space; and genetics ;)

i would definitely start new seeds for full season. i am poppin new moon next month!
you will def still hit your goal man. i have actually heard feb and earlier starts do considerably worse than younger fresher starts. (maybe) more weight; but less vigorous; more disease prone; etc)

**though i guess the problem with seeds is unless you have something you know to be pretty homogeneous then you are taking chances with a pheno hunt pretty much and cant expect consistent quality/yield; which is why alot of guys just stick with clones they put out in late april or may or whatever depending on their genetics and still pull mad weight.

though i am still pheno hunting i want my own winner :)

I believe you should be good, I ran into the same problem my plants were not as big as expected, so I decided to just throw out all my plants to flower for a spring crop. yep I tossed out everything I had right after I cut clones. I'm hoping that these root, but I already started about 10 seeds and grabbed two clones from the club. I will grab a couple more clones before the end of april (if my clones don't root) and I'm sure with 3-4 months of veg I will have monsters depending on how much soil I can afford and how big I go on smart pots. I got a 10 X 12 greenhouse from harbor freight that I have not built the foundation for yet. but I plan on putting 4-6 plants in there and the rest on the side of the greenhouse under a shade cloth. I believe I can achieve 2 lbs per in 45-65 gallon pots that is my goal at least. with the faith that I can fill those if not I will be going with 30 gallons min.

so basically you will have a nice harvest starting now lots of ppl on here haven't even started yet, and they grow monsters! good luck

Shit I better get on sprouting these baby's you guys are way ahead of the game. Lol what temps are you guys hitting over nite
I got down to 32F last night. Had a heavy frost this morning. I have seedlings outside, but I have them under glass for now. I've got 6, 9 and 12 seeds {from 3 different phenotype's of same strain} in soil. Had four up yesterday, didn't get a chance to look at them this morning. My plan is to plant 12-15 every couple of weeks until I have all 73 of my holes filled.

Thank you, I appreciate the info and the reference to the other thread! Good info in there!

Thank you everyone for the tips/advice! Started some new seeds a couple days ago and flipped the gorilla glues to 12/12, will be time to move them to the greenhouse soon
