Sometimes sleeping with the heater on or low humidity can mess with ya too There's times I'll run a humidifier in the bedroom.

If you have been pulling through and.then change to push (or vice versa) the previously trapped particles will be pushed back into the air. (Bummer). It is always best.to pull through the filter.than push as both filter and fan are.most.efficient this.way. for intake run a separate inline fan and a mushroom intake filter for it. Does not need to be as big as the exhaust as.the exhaust will "help" the intake fan keep up.

I was running my carbon filter as an intake with passive exhaust for a few days to combat smell. I am thinking now maybe its a bad idea. I woke up with a bloody nose and a sore throat. I wonder if maybe fine particulate is all over the plants and in the air?
I have seen carbon filters for intakes, but maybe a foam filter is needed?

Did you eat any tuna?
I havent had any tuna??? ,
If I was using my filter as an intake id use a sleeve on it, but I push air through my filter on exhaust. Either way I don't think they should have affected u like that, maybe a coincidence and ur getting sick?
.
I was wondering that as well. I feel the inside of the filter and fine residue s there. What do you mean by a sleeve?
I cant exhaust out with the owner here all the time looking around, and cant cut holes in my closet ceiling
They will be up there next week rewiring the house and doing other shit.
Believe it or not the smell is obliterated this way, but the smell of the carbon is very strong in my bedroom

No exhaust...I am forced intake and passive exhaust back onto room from rectangle vents in tent. I do this since I cant cut the walls/ceiling here...renter :(
Ill look around for a mushroom filter thing

You .might just.be sensitive to carbon... It does initially put s lot of partial into.the air. I fire.mine up outside.first. lol. Can watch the dust.plume come out on a new filter. Lol. Your probably just fine. As long.as temps.are good and no smell and you can breath good... A-ok

The filters I've bought have an extra filter sleeve u pull over the whole thing. My filters on the outside of my room exhausting so I don't use that extra sleeve on it.

The sleeve keeps particles out of the filter, but inside the filter is metal holes and dust gets out easily. Usually that would go outside or in attic so no issue, but mine vents into my room and I can almost take the carbon in here

I have had this filter a while, but not much use since usually I am not hiding my grow, just used for extra stinky stuff to avoid attention. The mushroom seems to be made for the other direction of airflow. t wants air pulled through not pushed backwards, so I wouldnt be able to duct ti and use that at some time, unless it went at end of intake in tent and blew through it into tent...and damn they are pricey!!!
Ill look around for some type of open cell foam I can use that isnt marketed for growing to save some money

Nobody else has complained, but I am home all day 24/7 breathing it in same room mostly, and others are at work school mostly so I get 3x the exposure.

Well when you dont use things as designed you open yourself to problems.
The cob lighting creates less heat, and I had reversed fan to compensate for a cold tent of 65=70*F with lights on. Its warmed up now and and not an issue anymore, but still dont want to cut holes to vent

SG, I do very much appreciate the thought Bro.

HGK, Slimer, the Pre-98 Bubba, etc :0)

Let's see what comes of my recent bean popping....I can bring you
guys up some new genetics too.

Speaking of which, do you have @bigworm6969 's Prime Crystal?

I only has a few weeks in the tent but it is already giving off
a very interesting scent. Fruity. Very nice.

I am also very happy to see when new plants, dropped into the
tent among plants with a head-start, grow out and take their place.
My Blue Pit did this very well. This is my second or third grow of
this breed and I love the intense vigor that it has shown every time.

The Somago went crazy which is amazing because this is a clone
of clone of clone from one of my first bean buys. It is standing up
along with the Hash Plant Haze X Chocolate Chunk.

So much goodness is coming.

I have made it to the end of week #9 for the Headband and Sour Power
and I will take then in a week.

The thing is that when that happens the next wave will only three weeks
away, and that is the 10 week mark as well. Hoo hoo!

I wanted to add some tops-shots of the Sour Power and Headband
but my battery needs charging for my camera.

So, here is a shot of my own little baby, Jack The Cleaner:

It is the most Lemony plant I have grown thus far.

Onward and upward,

JD

P.S. Click on the image, at the branch on the right....that one seems well focused.
Nice frost too. :0)
