Can't figure it out, HELP

OK thanks man I appreciate it, I'll try water and less and giving less Nutes. How old are yours?
These guys are about 2.5 weeks into flower. They aren't super tall because I LST'd and topped to keep them short. I grew them from seed at the end of December. It's okay if your pot is big. Just need to adjust your watering. When they are smaller like that pour your water around the outside edges of the pot and don't water a lot.

Around the outside edges and not in the middle? I always pour it everywhere. And what does LST mean? I've talked a couple plants and it's worked out good, but I don't know what LST u around the outside edges and not in the middle? I always pour it everywhere. And what does LST mean? I've topped a couple plants and it's worked out good, but I don't know what LST is. I have a short grow space so it would be best to keep mine as short as possible, so anything that will keep it smaller I'm listening

When your plants are that young and in big pots it's all about building your roots and stimulating root growth. In all due time you will be dumping gallons down those pots but right now get those root hairs working on out. You will know how much you need to water by how fast it dries out.

Here are a few pictures of early LST that I took. I just used kitchen twine and binder clips. I basically turned my pine tree into a bush. I usually start LST a week after I top... easier to train that way.IMG_4198.JPG IMG_4199.JPG

Oh OK, so you top it, and then a week later just lightly tieback some of the node's to the rim of the pot? To force it to grow outwards instead of up…

I went to my garden supply shop yesterday to ask some questions, and show them some pictures. The guy there's telling me that the pots I am using are too big, and to use smaller pots until it gets like a foot or more tall. But in the last couple grows that I had, my plant stopped growing and I couldn't figure out why so I pulled a couple out and they were root bound to shit. But they were about this height, so I'm not sure what to do? What do you think. What he said makes sense though because I think that the bottom half of my pots is still soaked, while the top half dries out so then I think it is watering time and I water it. Maybe the plant is not big enough to use a pocket full of water that big. So maybe that's why it looks like I'm overwatering. Does that make sense or no?
I almost had to laugh when I read "the pots I am using are too big". Never would have thought that was possible.

I have watering ritual, you might laugh but ya know what I don't care.
I wait till the top of the soil is dry dry dry, almost dust and the pot weight is super light.
I'll take a wooded stake I have, scar the top of the soil, poke 1/4 inch holes between the stalk and the edge.
Water from the outside in, more water along the edge then towards the inside.
Put the plant back in my tent and tell her "see you in a few days"

I think you took it the wrong way, either that or I fell for that guys shit Haha. But the way he explained it kind of makes sense, the plant is too small for that pot because when I water it, that whole pot is basically soaked in water, the plant is too small to soak up that much water, so the top of dries out while the bottom of the soil is still soaked, which makes it appear time to water again, so you end up overwatering, so the pot it ends up being too big.

Haha nah man, everyone's got their rituals that work for them. I just needs to learn some that work for me!

I understand why they would tell you that, and yea it makes total sense. However, I believe you can still start with a large pot if you water carefully, just around the stem and not very often, allow it to dry out between waters. Lift the pot, feels heavy, wait. If it feels light, water. The advantage to this is you won't have to deal with any transplant stress.

When I set up my 2 liter nursery pots for my current grow, I watered the entire pot with a water/root simulator mix a few days before I even started germination. Put the pots in my tent and kept the lightson. After my seeds sprouted I put them in dead center, gave em about 1 table spoon of water, loosely cover with plastic wrap. Waited for the sprout, took off the wrap and let em ride until the soil dried enough for the first water. (over a week) Then it was about a week before the next watering was due, now as they grow the gap between watering is roughly 3 to 4 days.

Hope that clears up where I was coming from.

See I thought it would be better to avoid transplant stress, I even told him that but he told me that I was wrong. And yeah definitely thank you I really appreciate it

Yes. You are basically tricking your plant into thinking it has multiple tops instead of one. You can max your yield big time with this method and save yourself on a lot of head room. There are a lot of tutorials on it on youtube.

Hey guys, I've been getting info from this website for a while and you guys are great! I built my own box and I've been having lots of troubles. They grow decent until they get to a certain point and then they sort of get droopy and brown spots and bottom leaves dry. I've talked to feed a few different people and heard many different things, like nutrient deficiencies, heat stress, pH problems. I've tried to correct some of these issues but I just really cannot figure it out… Please help me! NEED H
Looks like it's over watered with droopy leaves. The yellowing on the leaves from the bottom up and dying off looks to be a lack of nitrogen

Any idea how I can fix that nitrogen problem? I've tried giving in different brands of nutrients that have different numbers, I've tried giving it less or more, none of them has made a difference. And one of the Nutes I used was A lot higher nitrogen than the other ones, same issue
