Technological singularity is not far away so I highly doubt there will be an apocalypse.

It will be the slow depletion of the planet. Overcrowding and such. Well here in the states we have our guns. And people have been buying them up like crazy as things get worse.

and for like 3.99999 million yrs we were harmless.

I don't give a rodent's haunch whether the singularity will be technological, biological, karmic or whatthefuckever. In any case humanity as we know it will be rendered quaint. Nostalgic. Mesozoic.
I only hope that whatever we become will be less prone to the wild destructive intoxication of absolute power that we humans 1.0 handle with such spectacular deviation from the optimum.

i think theres a lot of options for every different person and family to do their part in saving the environment even if its just alittle
but people are selfish and too lazy today. everyone is always on the go so theyd rather not contribute and pull their weight

Hollywood has led us to believe that AI will see humans as a threat and decimate us. While that could be an option, because let's face it, we aren't exactly caring all the time for the planet and it's inhabitants, Ihardly believe an AI that will have a higher awareness then people will want to decimate a whole species. That's just savage and primitive. It will probably help us, thus no apocalypse.
