I guess I have to eat some crow on that one.Actually I have. It was done just for my own training and to see just how it felt. Believe me its torture. Feels like you about to drown and can't do shit about it. I didn't last long until I said enough.
Still, I would never deny that it's scary as fuck. But you're no worse for wear becuase of it. Becuase there is no lasting harm beyond a memory of being scared I come down on the side that it approaches but doesn't surpass the line that defines torture.
Calling water boarding torture leads to sleep deprivation and sensory overload being called tortur. Comfort isn't a right.
