Thats ok, i appreciate it anyway, thanks mateIve only done what autos were sent to me as freebies. Dont know sh*t about them, sorry. I wouldnt purchase them personally just sticking with photos, but I am basically even time all year. I don't have any long days or cold temps or long nights
if what you mean is that you wouldnt purchase seeds based on just a picture then yes i agree haha im just amazed at some of the colours of the plants that are out these days, like how the slang term for bud is "green" but you can get purple nugs and stuff nowadays haha

I done 4 dark devils and 2 were all purple great looking and nice smoke..the other two were green with small hints of purple
The best one of the 4 i had in a tent for 30 days under t5s then outside for the last 36 days..pulled on day 66 ..ironically number of the beast less one 6 lol

Will just be sitting out in the open in my backyard, in perth more specifically, hot, a lot of sun, doesn't rain all that much so definitely think they'll be at least halfway decent if i start them in the next week or two. Not sure how they will go during the middle of winter but it's worth a shot, even just getting a gram of weed makes up for the $10 for a seed so not fussed at allThats great, let me know how you go bro

Man that's a beautiful plant, I don't think I can be disappointed with any of the seeds even if they don't turn purple, have heard pretty much nothing but good things about those strains just can't wait to have a sample to see if I want to run a lot of them

sweet, thank you, i deffinitely have to see how i go with autos offseason, cause as you say even getting some amount is still worth it, and its nice to try different strains, so im keen to see how this will go, and seeing nice plants like the one ruby fruit posted is what ispires me to give it a shot

Not much stuff can make me get the giggles these days so if that gave me the giggles then that would be something i would consider growing again, and it looks beautiful too, dark devil is going on the list

Here's a bunch of shots of some revolver and candy cane I grew from crop king seeds. I wouldn't describe either as dense. Both have more of a foxtaily finish. Both still good smoke for personal but I don't recommend for any sort of Comercial grow. Everyone says not to top or transplant autos. But I had better yield with all the ones I topped and transplanted than the ones I left naturally and planted in their forever home. Just my experience.

Thanks mate. Hopefully they'll be good this year too. I'm gonna run the auto/photo crosses I made and see what happens this year. I crossed both with white grizzly and she is my biggest yielder so maybe they'll fatten up

hahai have read that its not good to top or fim autos but hey, if it works for you then why not do it, cause i would much rather have a few more colas than just a christmas tree style one, well im new to autos and still learning so im not sure, but i may just have a go and see if i can get some autos with top it and try make it grow low, spread it out and get a few nice colas
And in regards to transplanting, i personally think that if you take enough care and dont disturb the roots to much and get it in the new pot/hole ok then what's the worry, yes it can cause some stress but if its working for ya go with it hahaha

Ahhhh you're just down the road mate! How close to the coast are ya? The closer you are, the less chance of frost. If you're within 20-30 odd km, you'll probably never see frost. We can get cold, but it's rare. 10-12c overnight is about average and 22c is daytime average on the coastal fringe up here. That is practically summer in Melbourne/TazzieThank you outlier. Im in north nsw. And ok thats interesting, because i was thinking that beause its wet/dry seasons and if there is enough light then why cant it work, thats also taling into consideration possible frosts and things like that, so thats why if i did try it off season i would pit them in a greenhouse, it keeps unwanted things out too (cats, dogs, chickens, etc). So if i got enough daylight to produce some decent autos off season that would be awesome, but im still learning about my new local environment so ill get as much info as i a can and pick some good autos and have a go, it might be something i'll try next season but if i get things together quick enough to make use of the maximum sun i can, then i will have a go at it and let you guys know the results, but we'll see i suppose. Anyone know of any autos that would be worth trying outdoors (in a 2x4 greenhouse)? And thanks for the info and help bro, greatly appreciated
And yeah growing in vic offseason outdoors would suck, never attempted it, i have done a bagseed plant offseason (was inside the house on a north facing window sill) and it got quite frosty nugs and produced alright (not sure on exact amount) for a "dwarf" plant hahaha i tried it to see how it would go haha got to 30-40cm
Obviously the further inland you go, the colder night temps you'll get.
I can't help ya with autos either sorry mate, I have a couple of freebies that will be my first attempt at them.
The sun will trek north in the sky so if you have anything north of your greenhouse, it may block some of the sun's path. Its intensity is much less, so the more uninterrupted hours of it the better. Still possible to get a suntan here in winter, so I'm backing that it should be strong enough to grow something.
Great thing about the weather here is that it's consistent. When you say average up here, it means basically that -2/+2 degrees every day. No Melbourne type of swings where you can go from 40c to 14c in a heartbeat. Sure we get cold snaps and variances, but in winter a cold snap means cold at night and majestic through the day (shorts/t-shirt in the midday sun). All those glorious post card pics you see of our area, are taken in the winter months. You can tell by the colour of the sky (crisp, dark blue) whereas the summer sky is a very light hazy type of blue. I believe this is all the moisture in summer and the cooler dry air I mentioned before in the winter.
If it rains this time of year (wet season), it can rain for weeks so your greenhouse will come in very handy all year round. Storm season has finished/ending now, not sure how long you've been up here but the storm season brings on some great smokin' times on your verandah watching nature's spectacular (and at times scary) light and sound shows. Your greenhouse is also going to be very handy during these months

im starting to like this climate more and more as the days go on!! haha thank you for the great post outlier gotta love aussie weather!!! except for vic, its bullshit down there, you have to bring 3-4 different styles of clothing with you wherever you go because the weather can change so damn quick you need to be able to go from flip flops, shorts and a singlet to uggies, trackie pants, jumper and a beanie or you will freeze to death, or the opposite, you go out with warm clothes on then it gets hot out of nowhere and then you gotta go and change into shorts and a singlet, its crazy, im just glad i get to enjoy this lovely climate up here i think i will have a good chance at producing some decent results with outdoors autos in offseason, but thats yet to be seen haha, but this is the situation so far, im 100kms inland from the coast in north NSW, noting major blocking any light from getting to the plants, i have great water supply, im currently working on amending the soil (i have hard clay on my property) so will have good soil when it comes time to plant, i will have a greenhouse (only 3x2m) which will help with extremes of weather, i put my greenhouse on the highest part of the hill on the property and it is at an altitude of about 300m so it helps with cold temps as well as the greenhouse. so i may be able to produce some good results. im excited to see how it goes when it comes time to execute the auto offseason outdoor experiment
