CMH bulbs don't go grey like that at all. Mine take a few seconds once plugged in to fully kick on. If the bulb is bad what does it matter if you leave it on and let it warm up?

Long winded electrochemistry answer. Just run the bulb for thirty minutes on the ballast you know to be good, then let it cool and see.

If i run the grey bulb in the phantom reflector with that ballast it still leaves the ballast or e39 to pgzx18 adapter in the other setup as suspect.

I could setup the ballast on the phantom reflector to the xtrasun and if it works its the ballast if it doesnt its the adapter. I guess? That sound logical?

Just run the lamp first. You don't have enough information to over analyse that much lol

Lesson learned; just run phantom ballasts with phantom reflectors. You're running it horizontal correct??

Lamp is running fine. It was flashing while warming up. Sure thats normal though. Both bulbs take about 30 seconds to get max brightness. Not sure if that is normal either.

When lights go out in the morning I will check the arc tube.

That start up time is correct. It's just the lamp reaching its operating temperature. The 3100k's look blue when they first fire and settle into their spectrum. My bulbs remain clear although I do have a bulb with a massive scratch across it but the hydro store owner swears it won't effect the performance.

Yeah around where the coil exits the inner bulb it glows blue. I try not to stare. But it looks cool.

I got a couple 3100k. Heard they work just fine for veg and flower. Green looks so clean and vibrant on the plants.

Flower room is packed. Hoping some of these Dank #5s are male. Though I did the smart thing and flipped em a foot tall. Not 3 feet.

Run some clones tonight off of them so I dont have to deal with a reveg like I am dealing with the pgsc x yeti og

This platinum girl scout cookie x yeti og tester is very N sensitive.

This past feeding I cut the amount of CaNO3 I give in half and im still looking and finding new leaves that are rams horning.

Is this always indicative of an N overdose?

I dont.

Looks like im getting those yellow tips again in veg on these girl scout cookie haze.

Last time I was told it was overfert but i started at 510ppm and they are are 380 now so I doubt that.

Looks like calcium.
