Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

you will need a driver for each dimming requirement. You could use a 2/2 and have two smaller drivers that drive two vs. four cobs. your situation will require a little thought and some assistance from the designers of the system. I am designing single COB drive systems for individual controls. Vegas curious what you're designing. This seems more in line with my interests. Is this for personal use or something you plan to build commercially? Cheers.

I build personally, but I can build for others as well. I built a 2x2 CXA3590,77v, 5000k, and a 3x3 with CXB3590I, 3500K, 36v, I have been considering building fixtures for others. I am always looking for more to do. You can learn a lot here, but it helps if you have an electronics background and are comfortable with hand tools. and exacting science of layout. Here is a couple i built. peace.

I'm comfy with electronics (did some analog electronics in undergrad but it's been a while). Those builds look great. I think with these new heatsyncs it's getting even cleaner. Love Netherfly's build as well. What are your recs re temp as per my other thread? Trying to sort out PPF of the lower temps... Cheers.

I have been running my four cob light and the fan cooling the heat sink makes the entire area cool. I do not see a heat problem, as much as keeping things warm issue. I remote mount drivers outside the grow area, to reduce heat, similar to fluorescent systems used in large heat gain areas, like labs with lots of heat generating equipment. I run my cobs light , 135w capacity running at 50w. looking into passive heat sinks n ow, meaning even cooler temps with aero system. I have PPFD around 1200 for both veg and bloom. i built separate lights for better response. Running lower wattage will get you what you are looking for. peace.

Been thinking about it. I have a company already. Engineers, electrical, lighting, mechanical,, structural, and architects. I really like the LED's, pm me. we can talk. peace.

the CXA calculated at 1560 PPFD in a 2x2 tent with 49W/Cob, and the CXB calculated at 1220 PPFD in a 3x3 tent with 49W/COB. Both have angelina reflectors. peace

where's the remote driver mounted for your single light? vice 12 cobs on two lights with remote dimming at the fixture. llke to compare, I see. It's all good. I have 200w and 400w in two fixtures and drivers to run them harder, and working on a new lightweight passive cob system with remote drivers and dimmers. I could put wires in a box, but that is no big deal. My drivers are wall mounted with power for aero system, lights and fans. peace

you mean like here, where you killed your red leds? ->https://www.rollitup.org/t/diy-modular-led-light.547085/ should have known a kid with a micro grow and you are playing with diodes, while I am designing and building cobs that run from 50w-150w. I mounted 18 SemiLed far reds and did not mess up one. peace.

Hey VegasWinner,

Your post above got me curious so I started Googling single drivers, including the DT-PF1005 in your link above.

From what I have found, this driver is not dimmable.

Have you found a dimmable driver to run a single [email protected]?

I have not but I did find a dimmable 2.1a HLG-185H-c2100 runs two cobs at. 125w each. Peace got it from straight road
