Deformed tips on new growth???

I'm growing in coco and am using gh flora plus calmag. The tips of new growth are mangled looking and yellowish brown right as they emerge. My leaves are really dark green but haven't gave many nutes lately not not thinking N toxicity. I'm starting to get bad spots on the newest growth other than the tips also.

Ii suppose it could be a toxicity tho, I don't know weither to flush or give nutes. The plant looks nice as a whole and is growing very fast, it is 18 days old. I know if left unchecked this can spread fast
 
Pic of whole plant, lower leaves are burnt from nute burn last week I think. I'm pretty much lost

yea- its due to nutrient overdose/burn. flush with 3 times the volume of the container. use just ph'd water. if its in a 1 gallon pot, flush with 3 gallons then let it dry out for 4-5 days and restart with 1/4 strength solution
 
I wouldn't flush. I don't think it's nute burn. Wait for more advice please.

In either case, burn or toxixity, it is not too bad. If it is burn, cutting back a tad in nutes will solve it. Flushing is overboard imo.

If it is Mag deficiency, which starts in older growth, working up, I suggest upping your cal/mag and maybe a foilar spray befo re lights out.

Thank you, I've had problems off and on thru grow and have gave cal mag with every watering lately Due to the distorted new growth I have kind of decided on a boron or iron issue. I use filtered water so it is quite possible. I just gave a good dose of gh micro and will see what happens. My ph is good, have checked that time and time again.
 
Oh, and I was 24 hours light but switched to 12 12 last night. It seemed to really like that. Perked it right up
 
Actually scratch the iron, pretty sure it is boron. Makes sense and covers everything. Should have realized it sooner
 
Just a quick piece of advice I would like to offer you is dont change too many variables in a scramble to figure out whats wrong. Because when you correct it, you will have no idea what it was that fixed it.

Dont let your stuff dry out for 4-5 days. Coco should be treated like a hydro medium -not soil. NEVER let your coco dry out. Best of luck to you and your grow!

I agree that flushing whilst using coco is a bad idea, I have found that it does more harm than good.

Coco should be flushed (leeched) every few weeks to aid in removing salt build up...


and people wonder why us older guys get burnt out
 
I have flushed once so far and plants are 19 days old. Adding that gh micro last night without the grow and flower nutes really helped. Plants looks pretty good.
