Autoflower the answer to my situation

So I'm doing an outdoor grow, this is my second grow. It has been a few years and I learned a lot of lessons during the first one. The hardest thing I found since it's a grow pretty far from where I live is that checking up on plants was much harder than anticipated. With that said, checking back over and over towards the end for when they were ready to be harvested in my case was almost impractical.

This time around I was thinking of doing a grow with the auto strains think different, auto big buddha, and auto xtreme. while I let these grow I will also be growing the normal plants that I get in the freebees and do height training tying down method. This is mainly for keeping heights down for better concealment/security. Also autos seem appealing because growing in the NE US is hard to fit it in between last frost of the spring and where I live the late summer/fall has been problematic with mold and moisture issues which makes a 10 week auto very inticive. I don't need massive yields. It's just for personal use. I really liked the concept that you plant them, and roughly know a two-week window when they will be ready for harvest.

So, I had a couple of questions.
1.Are the auto harvest times (roughly) close to harvest times as advertised.
2.Any experience with these strains and yield results

I'm also in NE US, so I feel your pain on the mold and short season issues. For those very reasons I no longer grown outdoors.
Haven't tried either of those strains, but any auto you get should finish quick enough as long as you start by late may.

Add 2 weeks at least to any breeder recommendation.

Make sure you use a reputable breeder.

From what I've see of the Autos I've grown, the harvest time is more a guideline. The shorter height strains tend to finish faster.
I've got one auto, Green Label's Auto Mary, started germination on Feb 1st, I'll be chopping her own next week.
Same note, Speedy Gonzales germination same date, has a least another month.
Both had the roughly the same flowering time on their info.

I appreciate the input! actually if I go to the vault, I'll get the dina haze XXL. I just don't really want to go with them because they require package signature. but if I go with them, I'll do haze XXL (dina), think different (dutch), and auto extreme (dutch). I like the concept of autos for our short seasons. One day I'll branch out and get a hydroponics set up but this will have to fit the bill for the meantime.

Herbies doesn't require a signature, I use em all the time.

Attitude doesn't require signature either, and if you need to use the cash method with them it's safe.

If you use The vault, you'll like the quality of autos there. Mephisto has some great stuff. Great freebies too. Over the past months, we've been doing comparative grows with the vault and mephisto. I was never a fan of autos till I grew a few mephisto said out. Give them a shot, you won't be disappointed

Herbies has been faithful to me over years. 100% germ rate an quality seeds. Hell even the freebies r too notch! No signature an they'll resend several times to insure u get what u paid for.
