How do you all decide which strain to grow?

I'd like a couple of plants to SCROG in my 3x3..
I'd want one to be high THC and one to be high CBD. And both high yielding.

But I'm pretty clueless as to which strains would fulfill those requirements due to the sheer volume of choices out there.

You just got to do some research first read the description the look up journals find the best fit still cant decide? Get picky I like this color this one sounds like it smells nice that should get you to about 100 from there pick by name this one sounds cool "drunken biker who slipped on a banana"

Comes with experience. Learn as you go. By your 3rd, 4th grow you will start picking up trends and behaviors. What to do , what not to do, just flower or top and then flower, LSt it, tie it down. Shiiiiiiet, I just made the jump from soil to coco and still learning.

well if you can wait a month cinderella and apollo will be released from bros grimm they are both excellent for scrogging with decent yields and pretty killer highs and flavor. Other than that id just pick a breeder and see if you like their stuff. Ive been pretty happy with paradise seeds over the years. nobody ever really complains about then. Same with BOG and Bodhi

welcome to the club. :) Thousands of strains out there they all sound good right? Most of us don't have the money, space or time to grow em all out. I feel ya.

the seed game is dirty. there's lots of breeders out there. Some better than others. knockoffs. masters of marketing. sub par shit. Do your research, find out who has the real deal, that good. Everyone will have their own opinion but lots of folks here seem to know the good from the bad. You're in the right forum at least. :)

I don't I just buy more than I can grow and take it from their and you don't have to pay too much for good seeds just cause you pay $200 for a pack don't mean you can't get a pack for $50 and like it better. But what type of weed do you like best??

Pick what you like. I don't think there is a wrong choice.
Not from your sales point of view. A dollar is a dollar, right?

Otherwise, that's a ridiculous statement.

Most of the work out here these days are pretty good cus they are starting with good genetics. Just going through this sub forum you will see some info on good strains that are potent. If you aren't able to get your stuff tested and you have to grow the plant to the best of its abilities then it's a crapshoot on knowing how high the thc is in the plant. Same with CBD have to get it tested to know how CBD is in the plant and with CBD there's a lil different harvest window with high CBD plants you don't want amber so unless your able to get verified cuts already your gonna have to go through seeds to did what your looking for

You have to know what you want, quality or quantity

I go for quality

Then, find out what strains you want to move on

Quality seeds and breeders are nice but if you are new you should just get poppin those beans.

Experience will get you where you want to be

Critical mass is a high yielding high cbd that I like very much.

It also contains thc but it's very indica, relaxing and the comedown is very smooth.

For me it's the bees knees
Is the Critical Mass you're speaking of from cbd crew? I've grown a couple of those and they turned out very nice!

The CBD Crew Yummy ain't no joke when it comes to flavor she was about the best fruity tasting buds I've grown I just didn't care for the high CBD high which reminds me I need to grab Resin Seeds Yummy would be nice to grab Sagamartha's Yumbolt but I got a feeling I'm going to end up with old stock because not many people grow Sagamartha seeds and last I knew he didn't sell direct.
