About a thousand for a cab grow (5 square feet). The two big mistakes were shorting a really nice and expensive inline fan... and a shitty chinese LED (P150). I have since added some expensive CoB's (Vero 18 & CXB 3590), use Heavy 16 + Aptus additives (both expensive), and I love my overpriced Gorilla tent. With that said, I could grow killer weed for five years without buying anything else, so it's all good and worth the investment.

Lol... not buy anything else... that's a good one.

Who remembers eco dry powder nutes? Monstera? Or Green Air Products cheesy climate controllers? Or the Green Air Genesis 3 part nute "system"?

Fungus - a product called exhale generates co2, using for firs time, started about 2-3 weeks into veg and plants seemed to respond well. Went this route cause in cabinet w/ limited space isolated from the 2 dogs, 2 cats. 2 human co2 generators.
Semiconductors - LEDS
Micro controller - a 12v adjustable temp digital t-Stat essentially that intermittantly operates cooling fan for led. Sensor Wil be on heatsink - I lied a little this one's not installed yet but soon.

I did rockwool only the 2inx2in cube in vermiculite filled 3L Big K Cola bottle with the top cut off. 6 of these in a tub a few pieces of sprinkler tube and about 4lbs of duct tape and hot glue, general hydroponics food colored nutes (cause it was them or foxfarm at that time, eventually went the foxfarm rt.) a 400W MH and there you have it my first real attempt.

£150 on 80x80x160cm, 400watt HPS barn reflector, ballast and bulb, 5inch extractor carbon filter and 5m of ducting, hanging clips and tape. As a kit.

£30 on 5x auto AK seeds
£10 on pots and saucers
£20 on ionic grow and bloom nutes

.... what's this sure it wasn't a 13cm, ahhhhhhh... the metric system is here to attack us, so logical so concise....
Just kiddin, prices of lights keep drop in my first 400watt was $400 plus the full spec bulb at like $150 (US that is) 15 er 20 years ago.

It's cheaper in the uk for equipment. But the only units I know how to convert off hand are weight and currency.
