Well, no, it is. The synth nutes are, assuming pH is right, directly available to the roots, but are also an overdose of nutrients so it's a bit easier to burn your plant with it. I didn't even necessarily mean "force feeding." It was an analogy."Forced feeding"?

As for pH being adjusted, outside of peat, coco, or other substrates that are buffering, pH is more important for synth nutes.
