hey good perspectives here guys- thanks. homebrewer - I don't think that people are obligated to share their prized, rare strains. Not at all. All I want it for people to quit bragging about their awesome strain that you can't have. If you have something amazing, then great. If you want to share it - even better. But if not - don't tell me how good it is but I'll never know, that's just obnoxious.

Can I ask you why you think people *should* be sharing their own unique cannabis strains with the masses instead of keeping them to themselves?

I was using the GH 3-part at the time but it's not the nutrients, it's the strain.
Damn I'll say that dumpster cut is ripe! On Gh3part that's killin it Homebrew!

Some years back, I was transferred to Ohio for work for about 18 months. While I was there, I was able to get my hands on a clone of this strain with the condition that I never give it to anyone, ever. The grower I got this from wanted to keep this strain from spreading out of Ohio and was very adamant that it never leaves my grow room, no matter where my job should take me. I have since been transferred to several different states but have stayed true to my word.

This is a very accurate description of the strain from seedfinder (http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Dumpster/Clone_Only_Strains/ ):

My own dumpster girl:

lol, I'm sure he told everyone that too.. lmao

I live in SE Michigan near Jackson. I understand this Fourm is old, figured it be worth a shot to ask and see if anyone has some clones of Dumpster. I had the strain one time college and it was excellent.
I"m in SE MI. Used to go to festivals in OH and would frequently find Dumpster. Easily in my top 5 strains I've smoked. About 4 months ago I believe it was arborside in AA had some Dumpster on their clone list. I had no room at the time and hesitated on the purchase. Haven't seen any since. Really fucking pissed I didn't make the room. I don't know if it was legit, but damn sure worth the try if it was.

It's got a backstory that makes it hard to believe. If I hadn't been privy to smoking dumpster on many occasions over several years I'd be inclined to call bs. But it was always the same dank. Neon green nugs, nice and dense, with a heavy and spicy-skunkness smell and taste. I would get it from some old heads (which makes me wonder about the college campus story) that kept it pretty tight. Always felt privileged to get what I did. Lord knows if this cut ever came around it would be in the stable forever

Wow I just found this site and thread it brings back memories. The fact is that Buckeye Genetics is the one who crossed NL x OG Kush in 1983 at Ohio State University. He did find the beans in a trash can so to speak in 3 seperate baggies. 1 bag said NL seeds 2nd bag said OK Kush seeds and Third Bag said Columbian Gold. I know this for a fact because it was ME and my cousin who found them wile drunk. I pushed him down during an argument and he hit the trash can they was in. He originally found them but I am the one to keep and grow them. Back then on Ohio there was not to much G13 if any at all that was real if my mind recalls. And to tell you the 100% Truth the first baggy was indeed NL and the 3rd baggy was indeed Columbian Gold but the second Baggy that I crossed with the first baggy to this day I am not sure what the hell it was. It tasted nothing like G13 although it mugged up like it. The taste was more on the OG Kush side so I went with that. At that time I could Care less about what a Pheno was I just took the biggest and smelliest females to the biggest 5 males. There was a total of 43 females bred to 5 males in the ground in Guernsey County Ohio and left there until I could come back for them. It turned out that about half the females got pollinated and the other females was just like OG Kush. I then started to pass out the seeds down in Southern Ohio to anyone who wanted them you can imagine how many seeds there was. So if someone took the NL to G13 it was after the fact. Just thought I would share this fact with you all.

Here's part of the Dumpster story. Back in the 90's me and several buddies were growing G13, one of my NL plants went hermaphrodite on me and seeded up an entire room of G13, the resulting strain is most likely what people started calling Dumpster, which I never grew. I eliminated my NL plants, and stuck with just the G13 thereafter. However several friends of mine continued growing the cross variant. Since we all lived in or very near the OSU campus, the origin story is possibly true.

Super super old thread but I remember paying 11-$1200 a qp for Dumpster on Duncan St jus North of OSU campus up the street from Ledo's around 03-07' I distinctly remember a 22g dried cola, had giant stems. Same time when White widow was plentiful. The White Rhino I could only get by the 1/8 or 1/4 but holy Jesus it was all good.
