The DEA will decide whether to change course on marijuana by July

I wonder if Obama could direct them to.

He could have 7 years ago, instead he put politics over human life. Maybe he can get another Peace prize now?

Of course it's ironic that there's been a U.S. patent on some medicinal properties of cannabis for years and the Feds have been providing Irv Rosenfeld (and others) cannabis joints for decades. Not to mention thousands of years of use medicinally prior to prohibition.

This is just an example of the Feds getting ahead of the inevitable and tossing the crowd of serfs a few loaves of bread so they can now have something else to tax and maintain control.

All true, but let's just be honest about why marijuana was made illegal in the first place.

Control thru legislation was the means. Racism was used as part of the propaganda for sure...plus dirty lazy Hippies.

The purpose of prohibition was for the biggest criminal gang in the history of the world (the FEDS) to provide protection to its many cronies.

What Rob Roy said.

Hemp wasnt made illegal because of marijuana or to keep the black man down, it was made illegal because it directly competed with cotton and the big labor of the day didnt want that to happen.

So they created an insane drug war to prevent the use of a textile product in the industry.

It was made illegal because blacks and Mexicans used it

Marijuana is a term used to scare white people because it sounds spanish.

Its a cannabis plant, not marijuana plant.

Its actually mota in spanish, not marijuana.

Yes, but the Mexicans who used it called it marijuana, and Anslinger and the other pricks who pushed the prohibition through Congress called it marijuana because most citizens did not know that term. The Congress members who voted for it said afterward that they did not know they were criminalizing hemp because of that term marijuana.

The real crime is that the law has not been fixed for 80 fucking years!

It`s an example of fools voting these people into offices. It`s the only way to get into Congress and the White house Office. Then they fill the vacancies with their goons.

It`s an Election year and only one guy is not a career politician.

Don't you know that to get rid of all the shit an asshole is just what is needed?
You need to look into why Brazilians speak porteguese and not Spanish.

Spanish were assholes and tried to concur Brazil and the natives were not having it.

The porteguese came bearing gifts.

Proof that being nice gets you further than being an asshole.

Because the Spanish had so much trouble with the rest of the western hemisphere...

Do you really think 16th century natives in what is now Brazil thought the Portuguese and Spanish were so different?

You sure that didn't have anything to do with Pope Alexander VI drawing a line through South America?

There is no legitimate medical use for smoked marihuana. It's a Schedule I controlled substance for good reason - basically, it's nothing more than brain poison.

What we need to do is hang all dope dealers, and cane all dope users. Promptly. That's how you win a War On Drugs.
Troll or not a troll?
