No proof I visit on average 5 gardens a week good growers not the 5 dry per plant growers and they have been told there doing great with anything over 10 ,check hunters of dank out there lush lighting grows,no way is there more than 7/8 on them.if you honestly think that a led can out grow a hps 1 light per plant then you ain't using the hps right dude ,not getting at led growers what ever floats your boat, just seems the led growers I know are losing out, that's why there ging back to hps.

crackheads say HPS is better than LED with no proof and vice versa. :peace:
The proof is simple! It's been over ten years - and LED's are still fighting for popularity. If they were actually better, we would all run out and buy one - but they're not. Advertising claims aside, most anecdotal reports are less than impressive. The power saving claims (probably the best selling point) appear to be over stated in most cases - by that I mean that they are intentionally driven at a much lower intensity to make them last longer (that makes for inefficient operation).

For years we waited for LED's to improve. Well, now they have! We have big, powerful COB's. But the only way they are affordable (for most of us) is to build your own, DIY style. Oh yeah, and they eat up the power something fierce - almost as much as an HID. So, what's the point?

I grow with LEDs due to having a small cab grow, but I would like to try hps sometime. Does anyone use both? cause I plan to

unfortunately you are just proving my point....the whole point was about an one sided argument, which you took...Advertising doesn't equate growing...photons begat photosynthesis and HID lighting has been really good and still is and so is LED.

I didn't say that HID is better than LEd
and I didn't say the led is better than HID.

To each his own, I guess you don't like LED, but your claims of their ineffectiveness could just as easily be Disproven. Phillips has a great light using 120 watts that will fill a 3x3 space, and its all mono diodes. They employ engineers who correctly built a light, just using thermo dynamics.
