Hey guys, just went out this morning to check on the girls and one of my automazars is showing definite signs of hermie. There isn't many male banannas growing, more pistils, this automazar happens to be my tallest lady standing at inch below 3'.

I've been doing some research and apparently I can let her/him do its things and let it go another 10-14 days after harvest and collect the male pollen to pollinate some more female autos and create my own feminized autoflowers.

Of course, there is still a chance of some of those seeds being hermie's themselves, but majority will be feminized? Does anyone have any experience with this type of situation? It would be awesome to be able to breed my own supply of feminized autoflower seeds.

they will be " fems" but some will have a higher chance to hermi ..... youll have a shit pot full of seeds though so if you dont mind culling a hermi every now and then youll have plenty of mazar in the future

If a plant hermi on ITS OWN I would not use the bollen for breading...IF you wount fem, seeds FORCE a plant to throw balls and use that pollen.

for breeding something stable of course ..... but ive grown at least 150 prolly closer to 200 hermi/accidental crosses and honestly its about the same as some of the mid to lower end seedbanks results some good some bad ...... ive grown alot of good bag seed out that i know were hermi crosses ..... they will be fems just will have a higher chance to hermi ..... but for a personal garden or someone who doesnt mind pulling sacks or seeded bud ..... cheaper than $5-15 for a seed that also has a chance to hermi

That was actually one of my worries, since I was not the one to force stress it to hermie.

That's kind of what I thought, just wasn't sure. Theres only a few pollen sacs, so I don't think it'll be too risky letting them mature to pick them for the pollen.

It was from Dutch Passion, so I'm almost sure that it was something that I did for it to hermie and not under it's genetics, although I've heard that mazars are more prone to herming then most other strains.

Definitely be cool to have my own set of femmed seeds, I'm watching closely and if he/she starts throwin pollen sacs at every node (which she isn't as of right now) I'll probably end up pulling he/her out to not risk the rest of ladies being all seedy.

I would keep an eye out for any pollen sacs and pluck them all. Any seeds you get as a result wouldn't be useful for breeding, but the bud on this plant could still be perfectly fine for consumption. Unless you are planning on breeding soon, you don't have to freak out and toss the whole plant, because if you missed some pollen sacs by accident, a little stray pollen won't be the end of the world, and the resulting bad seeds can just be thrown away, or eaten, or planted. If you want to breed soon, though, I'd toss the plant to prevent stay pollen from contaminating future projects. Also, mist down the girls and grow area to kill any already existing pollen.
