You failed to read the details. You must have missed the part that reads something to the effect of "the tax bracket determines how much a citizen should donate yearly, but they can use it for the programs they see fit".There's lots of countries like this. They are the 3rd world countries
You should travel more. The US is no where near a third world country. That's not even close to a true comment. And people "should"pay depending on their tax bracket. That sounds nice but people rarely do what they "should". Kind of like the usa donates less money per person to charity then any other developed nation. If left with a choice most will keep it for themselves. People can't take the time to even vote, I'm sure they won't take their time to decide where their tax money goes. You failed to read the details. As for the comment about third world countries, if you had taken a look around and opened your eyes in the past 15 years, you'd had seen that's what America is becoming.

although your views aren't stagnantThis sums up the point of this thread..
"scientists at Princeton and Northwestern found that compared to the economic elite, average voters have a nonexistent influence on public policies. “Not only do ordinary citizens not have uniquely substantial power over policy decisions, they have little or no independent influence on policy at all,” the authors conclude. In cases where the majority gets its desired policy outcome, it’s only because the elite happen to want the same result. Regardless of whether a small minority or a large majority of American citizens support a policy, the probability of policy change is nearly the same — approximately 30%."
I'm done for a while here though, so everyone can carry on with their stagnant views and cloudy perception of our great country while slinging mud at each other when their ideas collide. I can get better substance during a 2 minute chat while paying for my groceries. Gnite
if the poor cant afford to go to school too bad
Except what presently exists is only what IS ALLOWED to exist.Property taxes are cheap compared to a private school I could home school but I'm not that great at English reading I can do but just look at this mess of a run on sentence.... Lol

My donation comment had nothing to do with "government speak". Just factual that Americans donate the least out of developed nations. Not sure where there is a gun barrel there?Charity does not come from the barrel of a gun.
Also you misuse the term donation in the context of your government speak.
if you go, uncle buck wins..are you going to give him what he wants? This sums up the point of this thread..

so does that mean you are FOR gun control?Charity does not come from the barrel of a gun.

A lot of our homeless choose to be homeless they have shelters but a lot choose to stay on the street plus you can't be drunk and get into the shelter but I can think of a good reason for that. But if you really want to get off the streets them people working in homeless shelters will help a lot they will give you a cell phone and foodstamps but you got to want to get your shit together.I'm not making a comparison to other countries, I'm just saying what IS happening in our country.. It's not as nice as it looks on TV. Out of 15 cities that have the most homeless in the world, America houses 5 or 6 of them.
This doesn't look like a country heading in the right direction. And we've certainly lost our super power status.
