What's going on with this one?

I tried fimming for the first time and this is how she turned out. I cut just above the main stock leaving a bit of the two leaf branches in tact. Now it is just a bunch of mutated foliage coming out of every nook and cranny and it's way behind my other plants. Has anyone seen this before? Is there any hope for her?

Hahaha! Sorry, I shouldn't laugh but I did the same thing with my first fim lol, all it is is cos you've nipped off bits of the developing leaf and that's how it has grown out. If you look really close next time you try you can peel open the tiny new leaves, some people use tweezers but I never have, and pinch out what's between them.

The plant didn't get fimmed or topped. You just pinched a little too high. It only cut off the tip of your leaves. Next leaves out will be normal. Better off topping from my experience.

Literally TONS of info on proper fimming and topping on the www...in my current grow I did both multiple times.
Ya I know I watched a video on fimming and thought I was doing right but I think I get it now, gonna try again. I like your sig and that's right the difference is knowledge but sometimes the best way to learn is from first hand experience so I'll learn from my mistake.

Wouldn't the result of that be more similar to topping? Don't you cut through the leaves when fimming?

You do cut through the leaves, but you cut the very very tip of the main shoot. That stops it from growing upward and forces it to branch out.
