That part where op was freaking out about the possibility of a male plant was fucking hilarious. 30 years of growing but you don't know that males can be culled before they throw pollen.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience... since your such a seasoned grower... I've never had issues with Nirvana gear. Maybe you should try Sannies... Honestly though, it sounds like your expecting a "cookies" result from cheap gear, which in my opinion is a little crazy...

Yep sure do know the difference and can remove before flowering. But just assumed the free seeds were feminized. What a joke sending male free seeds.My fault for not reading the whole webpage and fine print. Anyway everything i purchased from Nirvana is crap and no longer used.

When you read 500 + 5 star reviews you would assume the seeds were ok. They weren't. They will never get another penny from me.

Anyone have anything to say about these guys? Looks pretty good so far. Plus any suggestions on high quality strains?
So far I have Afghan1, pineapple express, chocolope, Thai Buddha, Barneys farm critical kush, barney's farm Liberty Haze, holy grail kush (that wasn't), Northern lights, Sensi bank super skunk, jack herer, cotton candy, and a few others.. Won't go Girl Scout Cookies as looking for higher yields.
I'm very fussy. Afghan1 was great, but too much manicuring. Could take up to 9 hours to do 1 LB.

Stretchy sativa dom with solid dense nugs so when in veg -be mindful of the stretch to come. I had to tie my buds up they were so heavy. Floppin all over the place laying over on the other plants for support.
I wouldnt classify it as a cash crop, but is a heavy yielder of dense sugar covered buds. It is a connoisseur smoke for sure.

I'm pretty much a clone bum (let me cut'er before you flip) Seeds: I get so hyped, I see the pictures of the flowers, thinking AWESOME!!! its a bummer when you get something less then what you expected.
in all fairness they could say under the picture. "your actual phenotype may vary."
I wouldn't give up on her either, what and see how it smokes. I don't know where you are at. but in socal there is a definitive lack of supply of meds, especially indicas. if the flower is, meh/LARFY there is plenty of ways to make it useable.
REG seeds have always been, ..well regular seeds. I prefer REG to feminized and autos anyway. even the best breeders cant catch everything, unlikely as it may be its up to you to look for herms in the hen house.

When i was breeding myself i used to get about 50/50 male female. But on some occasions I could get 75% female. Tried to find out how that could happen and one theory that was never proved , we germinated a heap in a light soil mix which was high in burnt wood ash (potash) and those produced a high female %. Not proven though.
@SoOLED , Yeah i get hyped as well only to be disappointed. One problem i see is they show you an awesome pic taken with a awesome camera and only show you the bud and not the whole plant so you can't see the structure.
Man I had some awesome old strains 30yrs ago. Went travelling and left them in care with my bro and friends who slowly but surely fucked them up. At that point I was on the west coast of New Zealand and we were fortunate enough to have two main individuals who landed from overseas in the 70s, one from south america who had a lot of panama red and another who had seeds from malaysia. Recently I actually caught up with the guy who bought the malaysian in and asked where it was from and thats what he said malaysia. Also had this strain and i kid you not, and would love to get my hands on it. It grew way different. When the flowers formed the were in the shape kinda like table tennis bat but longer and not as round. So the flowers weren't round like we see these days they were more flat but so tight also. This was an exceptionally different strain that i had never seen before or again. It was so strong I remember having a cone and going to the pub, two beers later i had to go home and was crawling down the passage to my room while the hallway was spinning. Anyone who smoked it thought it was laced..lol. It wasn't.
The strains I had yrs ago were 1 toke strains. Its such a bummer to have lost them. Few yrs ago we were growing the Afghan 1, which was pretty good, under 1000 w would get about 1.6 lb, but manicuring was tedious and long.

they are all lost, landraces: are all under Dutch/western breeding influence at some point. you gonna have to hike deep in some bush, and in some mountain range to find somthing botanically pure.
there was a show in you tube: it was to be about landraces, but it ended up being more about regional cannabis culture and farming methods, since every farm they visited, they learned it was crossed in the recent past.

Damn bruh you have 30 years growing experience and you don't know what reg. seeds are? Let you in on a little secret, regular mystery seeds mean they're reg. Seeds not feminized and mystery means it could be any strain. Surly you didn't expect to get 10 free feminized seeds with your order. If you've been growing 30 years and don't know how to cull the males out before the sacks bust you must be a slow learner. I'm not being a smart ass and I'm not taking up for nirvana I'm just stating the facts. Common sense goes a long way

The feminised were really bad. AK48 No substance, fluffy and air rated, would harden up.. Jock Horror nice enough nugs, but very small, not commercial enough. Both strains were grown in several different setups by other growers and all had the same results. You get 500+ positive reviews so one would think they would be ok. Obviously the reviews are either false or the people growing havn't growing anything decent in the past.Sif, there are NO male seeds, just regular seeds that CAN be/turn male, or they could be female as well..
That's what many people have been telling you here, - that there are no male only seeds, regular- just not feminised..! Make sense.? Plus they're freebies so can't complain.! Give them to a friend.. Anyway how are the feminised seeds you got ,are they doing well.? Happy growing,
