If you're an expert on ventilation, I could use your input!

Fair enough. I just see people on here telling new growers to go buy a humidifier and waste all this money so I just try to give a different perspective on RH and growing. Yea anyone who says raise your RH in flower should not be giving advice, you're right that's crazy. Agreed, not here to argue either, but I do like hearing how other people grow I'm glad we could actually talk without fighting seems like there's so much of that on here :bigjoint:
Thanks alot, fair enough!

Pretty sure he got that chart from this site
http://www.just4growers.com/stream/temperature-humidity-and-c02/vapor-pressure-deficit-the-hidden-force-on-your-plants.aspx
it measures something called Vapor Pressure Deficit or VPD. Good article but again I think it stresses RH a bit too much
Ya I read it and I get what its saying. But my plants are doing fine at RH 50% on average, day temps 80-85 F, night temps 70F. Im not going to worry too much about humidity when my plants can get the water they need from the soil. I will just have to water more often than Bubblegum31.

I grow in coco. Water EOD just fine!

Coco is still moest so is the air!

Toxicity minimim if heavy feeding.

If you have the humidifier behind or beside a stand fan, the fan will distrbute the humidity in the tent.

The only thing that the humidifier should not be very close to the fan so there is no consindation accrue on the fan blades.

props to bubblegum31 btw for going all out in his grow. He and his plants will appreciate it!
2 weeks in flower

Check my humidity on the hygrometer..

Was just difoliated abit so they may look sad ;)

But you got the idea, no rot no mildew all the grow till now

70% humidity 24c

According to the chart I should be 70%

And here I am.

One more week and ill take it down to 60%

Hope this helps..

I am trying to raise the humidity in my grow tent. Here's the pertinent details: 3x3x6 tent w/ humidifier in it. Exhaust runs @ around 240 CFM. Intake comes from inside bedroom. Tent humidity is around 40-50%, intake/bedroom air is about 30-45%. Tent temp is 84. Humidity/Temp monitor is sitting in the pot next to one of my girls. Using 900w led. Anywaysss, when I first wanted to raise the humidity I put a humidifier in the tent but to my surprise even with the humidifier all the way up, I was only able to achieve about a 10% higher humidity from the air in the bedroom. I attempted to add a second humidifier, also turned all the way up, with the same results. I was thinking and thought that maybe the exhaust fan is pulling the air out so quick that the mist from the humidifiers isn't even reaching the plants it's just going out the machine and straight out the tent. The exhaust fan I have is not adjustable, so what do I do here? Less intake? More intake? I had another idea, not sure if it would make a difference or not but here it is... for my intake I was thinking of taking the humidifier out of the tent and first trying to put it in the bedroom and achieve the desired humidity in there so that all intake air is already at the right humidity. If that doesn't work my final thought was to use one of my huge plastic storage totes, put the humidifiers in there, cut a whole on one side for intake, another on the opposite side for exhaust that has a duct fan hooked up to it and a duct running to the intake of my tent. The thought was that I would be able to achieve a higher humidity in such a smaller environment and then just pump the air out of the big plastic tote into the tent at the same rate if not higher than the tents exhaust fan. If you have any ideas or input or can share any experiences with me I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks

I have a negative pressure in that tent

Notice the fan on the pots, under this fan on the right side there is my Humidifier

I was filling the reservoir with water thats why the humidity was down but when the humidifier is working I can reach 70% / 75% no probleem

Becouse of the negative pressure the fan on the pots will suck the humid air from the humidifier and distrbute it.

Just like I sayed make sure that there is ((no consindation on the blades)).
