2016 whats everyone growing

I am soon to find out week five starts tommorow she is about 6ft now no manicuring done she got out of control on me. But I am very optimistic soooo many bud sites.

Here's a shot of Maple Leaf Indica just beginning to flower. It's going through a jar cure right now. Once done, I'll post photos. I posted about this strain just few days ago, so you might want to find that thread if interested. I enjoy the strain, even though it's pretty unstable.

Fantastic. This is truly invaluable info for me, I'm someone who grows one strain one pheno at a time, for months on end. Once I've mastered it, I seed them, harvest a couple hundred seeds of that cut, and move on to a new one. I've been wondering about the bubblegum, and now that I've seen that picture I feel I must try it. THANK YOU, very much.

Once I've mastered it, I seed them, harvest a couple hundred seeds of that cut, and move on to a new one. Subgrounds, I copy/pasted this from a thread I started last week about Maple Leaf Indica. It addresses the instability.

I'd love to hear about other people's experiences with Sensi's Maple Leaf Indica. Never before have I grown a strain that had a wider variety of descriptions among people who have grown it. Some people say the plants grown short and stout like you'd expect from an indica. Others say it grows tall. Some say that it has dark, wide leaves--like a maple leaf (again, what you would expect from an indica). Others say the leaves are lighter green and narrower, like a sativa. Some say it's skunky, others say it has a sweet, maple-like flavor and aroma. It is said to have aphrodisiac qualities, which I don't really hear about with other strains.

The things everyone seems to agree about: This is a pure indica, an old, established IBL that came out of Afghanistan many years ago.

Like I mentioned above, the descriptions among those who have grown it vary widely. Here's my experience:

After growing this strain a second time, I'm a bit intrigued by it. I obtained a 10 pack of Sensi MLI seeds 8-10 years ago. Shortly after getting them I started a grow, and almost as an afterthought I added a single MLI. The other plants had a week or two headstart, and since I thought the MLI would grow relatively short, I wasn't expecting much from it. Boy was I surprised. As an IBL, it started a bit short. Then it took off and reached a towering height--and I have no shortage of vertical space in my grow area. Topping it didn't help much. I trained and tied this plant more than any sativa I've grown. I actually cut it down a little early because it was a bit of a hassle and unmanageable compared to all the other plants. My thought at the time was, "Yeah, RIGHT, a pure indica. I don't think so." It did have a distinct flavor that was sweet and mapley, I'll give it that. And the single plant had a high yield. It cured to a fairly dark color. The buds were long, not fat. The high was typical indica, with adequate strength and a couchlock high. It was a real head scratcher. I enjoyed the smoke for its unique qualities and shared some with a few friends, two of whom LOVED it. One even described it as "sweet, syrupy maple heaven."

I ended up packing the seeds up and storing them properly for the past several years. A few months ago, I pulled them out and germinated a couple for a grow I just harvested. This time I knew what to expect and viewed the MLI plants with a bit of trepidation. After growing out two more females (regular seeds, not feminized) I consider this to be an extremely unstable strain. This time I topped both in veg--twice. I got two distinctly different phenos. One shot up and and grew tall, with long buds. The other was much shorter and more manageable. The yield on both was good. The flavor of each varied a bit. One was the bomb, and was definitely the best of the three I've grown so far. Sweet, maple flavor with a piney and hashy quality as well. The other is nice, too, but not nearly as impressive. Of course, as fate would have it, the great-tasting plant was the tall one--which is also the one that matured quicker. Strange..

At this point, I find this to be a very interesting strain. With seven beans left, I plan to grow them out and possibly cross the best pheno to a Skunk # 1 that's worked well for me in the past.

I think that is literally the most fascinating story of a strain I've ever heard, easily the most desired strain in my hunt. I really, really would like to try to grow, but even more so just to try as a smoke and edible meds, how interesting... thank you SO much for this post good sir!
