Popcorn buds!?

Yes it is one way and so is a frying pan lol.
It may be anecdotal but I've done it this way and I can promise you it did not pop the trichomes or burn any of them off.

It tasted like regular old mid and gave me a more than decent head high maybe just a step above average for me and unlike the mid I usually smoke it lasted for hours. If you read my original post you'll see it's more than just putting your weed into the microwave and nuking it.

I put my buds under the grill too quick dry, smells better than the microwave way.

i remember using a saucepan of water simmering away with a plate sitting on top and some buds on that..steaming the moisture away..

all works if your in a hurry and better than paying for it.

You guys sure are an impatient lot lol. Now that I've discovered the ease at which I can buy pot at the dispensary/pot store I would be hard pressed to bake a bud lol. I can buy quarters of mid to high for $400 from my "guy" as well :). Learned a long time ago it's way better to wait it out if possible :). I just harvested a run that was about 2 weeks early and the difference is striking. The high is much the same but the taste is quite shitty lol. The harvest was needed or I was going to lose them due to height and room of both that crop and the ones waiting to be moved (a newb mistake re timing).

Once again, there is no point to quick dry and smoke.

You will not get the flavor and it taste fucking nasty and wet at this point kind of like a wet dog.

You will not get stoned (please dont get stoned mixed up with some janky ass headrush) you will not daze off at the wall for hours and eat an extra large pizza.

Your bud will not burn for shit

You will not get to "sample" your product to see how it will turn out after cure.

There is no point people!!! Let that shit dry and cure! You can vape it after about 7-14 days cure. Smoke it after 14-30 days cure. And enjoy it after 6-8 weeks cure.
Nothing personal but i think i disagree with like every point you made here.

1. Theres no point to quick dry and smoke.
-i do it every run. I usually do it at 50 days of flower. If your running new strains i think its very usefull in determining if theyre done. If they are, theyll dry dense and youll taste the flavor, you wont get an airy, wispy bud that tastes like hay.

2.You will not get the flavor and it taste fucking nasty and wet at this point kind of like a wet dog.
- ive never tasted wet dog anything. Maybe youve done it wrong in the past but when i quick dry i take a mid level nug and put it on a screen, with an incandecent light bulb under it. Four days later...its ready. If it tastes like hay, or a wet dog, then its not done yet. The plant needs more growing time. I just ran raw dawg and it went 90 days. If not for quick drying, i would have cut it at day 70 probably. It looked done, but it wasnt, it sprung all new white hairs and grew an extra 1/4 in size in the last three weeks.

3.You will not get stoned (please dont get stoned mixed up with some janky ass headrush) you will not daze off at the wall for hours and eat an extra large pizza.

- all these "symptoms" must come from quickdrying improperly. Bud burns fine, tastes fine, youll know two weeks or more before the product is ready, which clones to keep. If the bud doesnt taste fine, you need to let it go longer.

4.There is no point people!!! Let that shit dry and cure! You can vape it after about 7-14 days cure. Smoke it after 14-30 days cure. And enjoy it after 6-8 weeks cure.
- to me, after bagging dry bud, its ready. I hang it for ten days or a couple more, then bag it and smoke it. Theres no way id wait 6-8 weeks for bud to cure. Impo at three months "curing", that shits almost ready for the garbage. I get more high off of bud thats ten to 14 days hung than after a month, two months, or three months. Theres the odd time that youll get a different smell come out of bud thats been bagged for a couple weeks, but thats as far as it goes. Scientificly speaking, the chlorophyll is still breaking down, but so is the stuff that gets you high. Its pretty impossible for thc and cbd to improve with age right? I hear some guys say theyve smoked shit outta jars that was a year old and it tasted amazing. I tried that. It sucked. And the weed was yellow. Stored in a jar, in the dark. Shit was gross tasting, and i could have smoked an 1/8 and still not felt a buzz. From my experience, you wanna get baked, cut it, hang it, wait 14 days, and smoke it. Screw waiting 6-8 weeks in jars "curing".

I dunno, if you run the same strain, year after year, theres probably no need to quick dry because you know whats going to happen. Or if you have one or two plants you can just stare at and obsess over, maybe not. But i cant tell you how many times that quick drying has saved me hassles, and i cant speak highly enough of it. I dunno how many strains you run at once, but ive run over ten at a time and its a bitch. I sit at that quick drying rack and taste and sample buds saying, done, done, one week, done, tastes like shit...hmm...two weeks, done,.... If you do it a few times it makes landing the harvest right in the sweet spot a little easier, and if that one little nugget saves you harvesting a plant that tastes like hay early, well id say thats time well spent.

My 2 cents.

I know you're being sarcastic but you should really go back and read my original post. OP wanted to quick dry so I gave him a method, the rest of ya'll shitting on quick drying aren't adding anything to the conversation but little quirky comments that aren't the point of the thread.

Setting a bud or 2 on top of the ballast for 45 minutes or so, turned about halfway through can give an acceptable quick dry.
Provided of course that it is understood that not all of the smokes potential will be evident at that time.
But for most decent growers of decent bud, even that should produce enough bang to rip just about anybody.

My favorite thing about popcorn is watching the pistils turn orange or reddish like the rest of the plant. Then, I can pluck a few mature popcorn (after they show cloudy or amber trichs). I hang them to dry naturally upside down 72 hours, then roll and blaze, in order to sample the effect, without disturbing the primo buds.

Fair enough for your 2 cents.

My weed is not smokable untill its dry and its kind of harsh and un-enjoyable untill its cured for atleast 3 weeks+. I should mention i feed to the end and dont flush, my dry & cure takes longer without flushing. I usually run anything from haze/malawi down to afghani/kush

I get a speedy uncomfortable headglaze if i try any quick dried product, few weeks later that same product gets me dazing off into space, what about you?

The wet dog taste obviously only stays when wet and it doesn't necessarily taste like wet dog it can smell good as hell but it will have too much moisture to burn with flavor, just taste fucking weird untill i jar and burp it for a bit i cant explain it. I onced dropped a nug in red bull can on accident then quick dried it, fucker tasted like a wet dog.

why spend money and time to grow the best you can to throw it all away on the final hurdle i dry for 7 days at 70 degrees then just before the stems snap i put into buckets and after a week to 10 days the smell changes and the tqaste comes out more then i start smoking and i can honestly say it gets better and better with time and normally when im almost out and it gone thats when it really starts tasting and smelling fire 2 months cure is around the time i notice it get there

Ya i feed to the end too, and dont flush. I just taper off but still run something. The plant still eats something till the end in a dwc system, so thats how i run soiless, still feeding to chop.
Speedy uncomfortable head glaze? Like a parinoid feeling or anxiety? Cause if thats what you mean then ya. That shit fucks me right up right when its dry. As im trimming ill pluck off a bud and smoke it. Thats the highest ill get off that bud, as it sits longer, i get less high.
I seriously feel like a dick three months after i chop when i give out a bag. But then theres guys that say ya gotta wait two months... I just dont get it.
Ive had buds that dont taste very good until they sit in a bag for a couple weeks, but those get taken out of the garden pretty quick. I always keep real stinkers around and the smell is on point. After ten to fourteen days the flavours usually on point, itll get a little better but its not bad, but ya, the high for me is tops right then and there. And its not because im getting used to it, i rarely smoke the same shit twice in the same week.

hey guys n gals I'm about 5 weeks in to flower and I've noticed there were many premature popcorn buds showing up so I decided to go ahead and pluck those off, and I was wondering if there was anything I could do with these I already flushed the plant so they should be pure! I was thinking maybe making a citrus mix shake with them or heating it while wrapped in aluminum and wet newspaper at 350 in the oven to activate the trichs...
anyone know if the will work or have any other ideas on what to do with them before I throw em in the oven for a shake??
What for?
Flushing is a MYTH!

A bit like anxiety, a little raced out with my thoughts and my eyes feel like they are going to explode with pressure in an uncomfortable cloudy judgment way. Atleast thats how it feels for me. I also notice the jar smell goes from a "breathy armpit " smell to a "sharp sour weed" smell when ready.
