Okay, so I am on a budget and I am looking for some recommendations on soils to use. I am not creating my own as I do not have time and place. I am trying to avoid Miracle Grow soils as they are loaded with time released nutrients and salts that just make the buds taste and smell nasty (learned that from personal experience a few years ago). I am planning on doing about 20 plants outdoors this year and I need something that is basic but has some good stuff in it like peat moss and microbes that are beneficial. I appreciate the feedback I will be posting this in my grow journal if you wish to follow
I have 2 bags of FoxFarms Ocean brand so far but it's pricey as I have to buy it online since it is not sold around here. I am buying the soil online and am looking for cheap or free shipping as I am on a budget
I am old fashion ,I hand mix my soil,,I use 2 gallon bucket of compost manure 2 gallon bucket of sand, 1 gallon of pete moss, and 4 gallons of Pennington professional potting soil,, compost ,1.27 per bag 50 pnd bag,,,Penneinton pro bout 12,00 for big bag,,sand 2.00 for 50 pnd,,,pete moss 11-12 dollars for big bag,,I have a plastic tout I pour it in then mix it up,, the cow poo is good source of P,K for later the pete moss holds some moisture,,the sand is sharp and keeps it from packing in and helps to provide drainage,,The Pennington Pro mix is set up to feed a plant for 6 months,,,,I give only water and have big healthy plants,,I also have my own compost from yard waste and house hold stuff,,you do not have to blow a bunch of money to grow,,grow with in your budget and you will have a good grow,,best wishes mate
