I want to say hello to everyone and hope everyone is doing good.
This is my first grow ever, I chose auto's because of the fast harvest time compared to photos and figured this would be a good way to get my feet wet.
the set up: coco coir and perlite mixed in 2 gallon buckets.
250 watt Hps bulb with a sunspot reflector hood, and 250 watt ballast.
seeds: ILGM BB auto, and NL auto
nutrients: botanicare grow, bloom, silica blast, and ripe. Bio Root, and cal mag.
Both girls will be 5 weeks on Wednesday, the BB has been in flower for roughly 17 days and I believe that the strecth is mostly over.
the NL is just starting to flower and has just begun it's stretch.
Both have been topped, the BB has had some Lst early on. I think that that is about all to type, so now some pics to get everyone caught up.

I'm gonna pull up a seat mate. Also growing Auto Northern Lights and Blueberry, both at two weeks old. Blueberry I have seems to be the quicker of the two, preflowers showing already, so about on track with yours. I'm gonna resist the urge to train. I think... Lol

I Lst a little to the BB to try to get a even canopy didn't seem to mind it, and I topped both girls so instead of one main cola I will have 2 so we shall see how that goes. The NL does seem to be about 2 weeks behind the BB and they germed and sprouted at the same time.
I would suggest the topping though.

Week 5 Update

The BB is really sensitive to nutes, when she first got nutes a gave her a 1/4 strength wich burned her so she was flushed and started looking really good again. The next feed she got a 1/8 strength and when I measured my runoff the ph was off. She did good with the lower dose so the feeding last week I gave at a 1/4 strength to see if it may have been the ph. I have confirmed that her nutes she needs at 1/8 strenght. she is I think done with her flowering strecth and is working on bud production. She smells really good can't wait until she really bulks up.

The NL is a champ and is in flowering stretch now. she has gotten 1/2 strength nutes and received a little burn, so her next will be at 1/4. she is starting to smell decent also.
I will be going out of town for about 5 days. I watered them really good and raised the lights up quite a bit just because I don't want the NL to strecth into it, there wandering generally can go roughly a week in between, so the should be good. I think I covered everything.

Very nice looking plants, can't wait to see what your final product looks like. I definitely want to see how that BB turns out compared to the one I will be starting when the beans get here, it seems that we are both growing in very different conditions(at least regarding light type/media/nutes).

Smokie, can't wait to see how yours turn out when you get them in. I can say that my blueberry is super sensitive to nutes so just use caution there.

Six week update
so the girls are 42 days from sprout, and seem to be trucking along.
I had to go out of town for about 5 days so the day before I left I flushed them with Ph'd water, I forgot to add cal mag, well when I returned to check on them they were bone dry but still alive and the BB and many yellowing leaves. The NL has a few yellowing leaves and had grown so much in the 5 days.
I'm wondering if anyone might know how much longer I might have to go with the BB. thanks everyone and happy 420.
I will add pics of the BB first. the pics of the NL are showing where it was topped and the 2 main shoots.

The second photo has some seriously clear white trichs. Another week, maybe less, just to get some amber in there. Looks fantastic.

IMHO

oh thanks this has been a very interesting road and still is interesting. I will be doing weekly updates on Wednesdays to track there weekly grow til harvest. when I first was reading about auto's everything would say don't train them or top, anything that will stress an auto. I think that is true to an extent, the BB has been topped and lst, I believe that I topped her to late. she was topped at 3 weeks old. I believe that if I would have topped earlier she would have been a lot better.

so I still have lots of white pistils so is the browning take that long of a period or is it just a day by day. she has had only one bloom feed and that was on Wed when she turned 6 weeks.

Tipper has it right I think, start your flush now, and watch day-to-day as the amber starts to come out, as the plant starts 'eating' itself. Again, fantastic work. Looks like a show-stopper.

Thanks rusher and it's just so crazy fast they grow. I was hoping to be able to give her some nut but I guess she said she didn't need any.

Now should I still ph the water or should I use distilled water?
I'm not sure at this point it makes a difference. FOR SURE no more nutes. :-)

You have a week, maybe less, maybe more until the chop. I don't think it matters, except for your peace of mind. I use distilled water from start to finish simply because the tap water is fuckin harsh where I live.
