Thanks! I'm not much of a handy man but it's coming together. The pig pen is to the right. It's made of T posts and pallets. You can see two of the bee hives behind the coop floor. I'm going with the top bar style of hive, the most simple one.
Fuckin a man! putting that work in, no worries on the handyman skills. I am far from a carpenter but still manage to get shit built. And from my experience, its better to do it yourself, even if its not perfect, have pride in the job, learn from it, and move on verse counting on someone / paying someone else to do.
Im curious to see the hives completed. Are they pretty low maintenance or do you need to clean the dead bees out every so often, and check on them a lot? Are you going with a swarm, or a nucleus?
Also, what breed of pig you going with? I went with the kune kunes, but next time will go with durocs or hampsire. If you want lard, kunes are great. HELLLA fatty. For meat though, we want something more lean.
