Just google light meter. They measure lux lumens etc. I got mine from amazon for about $12 i think maybe less.

Day 16! Plants r growing like crazy and are starting to stink :) very fruity. Buds are starting to form but I have a major issue... My RH has hit 75 -80 at night the past few nights and I can't figure out how to lower it. I run my carbon filter at night and have the fan blowing on the canopy. How can i lower the RH? Please help

I see theyre in a tent. Whats the dimensions? Also what size exhaust fan are you running (how much cfm) and how open are your passive intakes? Pictures help if you want to show the set up.

I believe the tent is 36in wide and 20in deep and 5 feet tall I use a 4in fan that pulls about 175cfm probably alil less with the filter on it I have it blowing across the room to a window I only have open during the day (weather permitting).. Passive intake vents r just kinda open I Try not to let any light leak in because the tent is in my bedroom so there's not alot of intake at night

I have a 190cfm fan 4" and my tent is 2.5x2.5 x 5ft high. I only have 1 passive intake open about 3 inches. Only thing i can think is there isnt enough negative pressure to cycle the humid air out. Or it could just be since the window is closed its pulling the humidity right back in. Take a humidity meter and set it somewhere near the tent when you know the humidity is high in there and see whatvit is outside and around. If outside air is lower like say 50% and its 75 in the tent you need less passive intake open space.

Ok I'll try allowing more air in if that's what your saying. The tent is pretty air tight when I kick that fan on

No thays the point allow less air in. If there is too much open space in thise passive intakes the air wont be cycled. You should be able to put your hand against the intake opening and feel the air flowing in. Does that make more sense? Too much ooening at the bottom and the fan is only pulling air from the top where i assume the filter is. The bottom is wide open and free flowing.

My filter and fan r actually under my plants. Is that bad?

If you havent seen that yet its pretty helpful to get a basic understanding of how your exhaust should work. This is the excerpt from where i was mention the passive intakes to get negative pressure.
Ok thanks I'll see what i can do. I'm also gonna go buy some cheap damprid and see if that helps any. Figured it help in a small tent like mine.. Do u think it would ruin the bud tho?

What kind of fan do you have circulating the air in there? Maybe just turn up the fan and close the passive intake some and see how it goes. Humidity always rises on water days. My tent would creep near 70 sometimes but i added my exhaust and its been fince since on temps and humid.

Just a small fan i have on 24/7. I did alil trimming to allow for more air flow and also did some rearranging. I have my inline fan pulling air through the filterThen out the tenr. Should i try pulling air from the tent then through the filter?

No its fine. Either way will work really. If you can move your filter to the top itll pull all that warm humid air up and out. It makes sense now. The air is coming through your intakes and going directly into your filter since it is low. You just need to raise your filter above your light. Ive been doing a wake and bake so the responses are getting a bit slow lol. My lights come on in another hour i can take a pic of what i have going on if you like.

Filter up too behind lights. I just set my fan on top of tent it does fine there. Only 1 intake is open and its just a few inches. Dont need a big passive intake with a smaller tent.20160416_142510.jpg 20160416_142541.jpg 20160416_142606.jpg
