Yeah, I edited my post I never really thought about that. Didn't think think it would be different but you make a lot of sense. Doesn't look like a cal/mag issue less its been there for a while and got worse. And I think that starts on the lower leaves first.
It does look somewhat like a mag issue, but not likely in that pattern.

theres about 3 gallons of water and i added about 2 teaspoons of epsom salt because i thought i would be some kind of mag sulfur deficiency.. ill raise the light up too and see if that helps in case of light burn.. i really didnt think it would be light burn since most people put their cfls about 2-4 inches away from their plants.

guys the new growth in the middle is growing really thin and yellow.. you guys sure its from the light? and cal mag cant be found here. so i need some alternative for cal mag. i added epsom salts but if its deficient in calcium i need to be able to add something else to it..

When I grew with cfl's I used 4 x 55 Watts kept at one inch above my plant.....never got light burn...I'm thinking you have a deficiency of some kind...I keep my 400w just 12 inches from my plants with no burn...sometimes it's all about the air flow so I'm still thinking deficiency .

hello my first post to this website..

before i say anything i would like to say that i am from venezuela. and normally the products usually found in the US cannot be found here at all. so please keep that in mind when trying to tell me what name-products to buy, its not found here, and we dont make dollars to buy em overseas. so i improvise with whatever else i can find. such as baking powder for pH up and vinegar for pH down. epsom salts.. nitrogen pills that are easily-soluble, with an 8-1-1 ratio. and another npk product with a 1-3-2 ratio, and liquid worm castings.

anyway onto the problem..

i have a nice lil cannabis plant that im growing hydroponically. its 22 days old since its sprouted. im giving it 18/6 lights. i have 4 30 watt cfls right now, about another week im gonna hook up my 400w mh bulb for it. the pH of the water stays at a constant 6.0. room temperature stays between 68-80 degrees throughout the day because of the tropical country. i have a fan that moves the air around and gives it a gentle little breeze. i feed the plant 1/4 strength nutes. this monday i will change the water and bump it up to 1/2 strength to see how it reacts. i have 3 small air pumps, all 3 together giving off 8 liters/minute of oxygen. not sure if thats enough but as of now i havent seen any problems with the roots.

my problem is that the new growth has been a lime green/yellow this past week and i cant seem to figure out exactly what the problem is.. its still growing but not as efficient as before. im not sure if i am leaving out any other info that would be helpful. so please, if in doubt ask and i will respond as quick as possible with more information.

Oh! and in the pics you will see the first true leaves' tips burned. that happened on day 8 and i transplanted to my 5 gallon bucket and since then it has stopped dying and has grown nicely since, till now, that im seeing light-colored growth.

and remember im not in the US. i improvise with other products that could be alternatives to what you guys use.
Check the ph lately?

It could be Mg. Sorry for the aggressive responses. I really need to quit drinking. But, that pattern still makes me think light burn. Otherwise, probably mag def.

i check the ph every morning and every night. it stays at a constant 5.9 to 6.1. and i raised the lights some in case of light burn. and added epsom salts in case of sulfur mag deficiency. and in case of calcium then i guess ill try to find some tums, highly unlikely though because this country is in such a crisis that we dont produce or import any name-products.

could i use flavored tums? because i think my grandma has some of those hahaha. but regular tums i doubt i could find some. i would have to run all across the city just to see if i could maybe run into some.
