Today is the start of week 3 of flowering. These plants are growing much bigger than most strains I've grown. I'm afraid they may get to big for my tent which is 60" X 60" X 80". They are under a 1000W HPS. Any ideas to slow down growth? Could I drop down to 11 or 10 hours of light? They advertise a 7 week flower period and they've only flowered for 2 weeks and I have about 6 inches left that I can raise my light. Maybe 12 inches if I take of the ratchets and zip tie the light to the top of my tent.

I am on my 3rd scrog. I'm tying them down now. I was hoping I could reduce light to stunt vertical growth and encourage bud production. There is not much going on at the bud sites. I'm thinking this increased bulk will be offset by smaller buds

I'm growing the same strain n my garden it should stop stretching this week mine usually stop week 3 or 4 but then u gotta account for bud size u better get innovative lol
What do you mean "account for bud size?" Does this strain produce large, medium, or small buds?

Two weeks into flower is a great time to super crop.
Look it up.
You mash the stem between your fingers like a straw. You basically break the limb. It will lay over. Within a day or two it will stand up and then form a knuckle in about a week.
It will make each limb yield more on most strains plus it helps with height.

Large, 12 wk flowering, half dozen pheno's, they herm easy. Respond well to super crop,takes forever(90 days)
You're telling me the Afghani regulars take 12 weeks to flower? Theyre advertised to flower in 7 weeks. I realize the seed banks usually underestimate these values by about a week but a 7 to 12 week discrepancy seems high

Got one 50 days since sex and the bitch through a little nanners , was super touchy with nitrogen , not to frosty , no smell whats so ever and is a leafy mother f'er.
Got another showing exact opposites of the other still N touchy but flowering quick , little stretch not so leafy , that the thing with reg seeds like a box of chocolates.

ya gotta defoliate the bottom 4 inches, then supercrop till the canopy is even, then keep cropping till stretch stops, their not done for months.

This depends greatly on the gear method you use,
True capitalist merchants lie their asses off to get sale,
but you new that going in
give it a couple of grows and seriously look over your gear and methods
if you wanted something quicker, autos abound

Im begginer and have done some scrop but never thought on doing that on 2nd week into flowering . Im going to turn into F within 3 w wont hurt trying some scrop once again

These Afghani's are from seedsman. I'm surprised they seem to be bad. Most of seedsman gear I've run has been good.
