Cloning Problem

Hey, first time cloner here. Basically googled and watched youtube videos before I got started. I have a nice humidity dome, but the lid happens to be a little tiny bit too big, so it wasnt too humid.. I began my cloning process by first having a liter of water sit out for a night. After that I mixed about 8ml of Clonex solution into the water, and tossed some (I forgot the name of the product but you can get them at wallmart, they are pods that have like a mixture of dirt and maybe some wood in it? and they grow when you add a water source.) of my pods in the water and let them soak in my now water and clonex solution. I cut 7 clones off of 4 plants, at a 45* angle, each had 3 nodes on them. I cut off the unnecessary leaves and scaled the bottoms of the clones. (heard it lets them root better.) Every day I would spray watter on the lid of the humidity dome and a bit on the leaves of the clones. 3 of my clones went into shock, but i brought they fought hard. All of my clones look healthy and happy, but i have not seen any roots and this is now the 8th day.. Help me, im a noob and dont know what I am doing wrong.. I will accept post about how Im stupid and what not, as long as they give me something valuable in return.

Just give them a bit longer. My first ones took about 12 days I think but I didn't use any rooting hormones or anything with them and only 2 out of 5 made it. I have some in rockwool now with cloning solution in and they've had about 6 days and I can't see any obvious rooting yet but they look fine so I'm happy to give them longer. I think it sounds like you're doing everything right so just be patient, if they're not dead then they're still trying :peace:

You are doing it wrong. I'll try to find the post where I described the process in detail...
Not trying to be a dick. I killed at least 100 clones trying to figure it out.

Oh someone also told me to start slowly removing the dome from the clones so it gradually gets less humid as if they're getting all the moisture they need from the air then what do they need roots for, I think was the general idea.

Hey thanks I checked it out, Not really sure what we are doing that is too different. I Forgot to mention that im using the same light for my clones and my plants, but my clones are farther away. (Im using an led light close to this one http://howtogrowmarijuana.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Illumitex-NeoSol-LED-Grow-Light.jpg ) What lighting do you use for your clones?

My humidity dome has some vents that I have been gradually opening, they say it should be fully opened by the first day but do to my not completely closed top, i have it opened about 1/4th of the way.

You did not mention a heat mat, which is essential.
Biggest mistakes:
1. Not having a heat mat.
2. Putting heat mat on wood or other insulating surface. This causes overheating when vents are closed.
3. Not closing vents on dome. Fresh cuttings don't have roots and need 95+% humidity to survive & thrive.
4. Not putting water in bottom tray. No water = no humidity
5. Assuming you can just hose them down regularly to maintain humidity. Your plants could easily suffer from fungus attack, especially where leaves overlap. Don't keep them wet! Keep their environment humid.
6. Loving them to death (overwatering). Roots gotta reach for moisture. If they are always soaked, they ain't gonna grow. Why would they? Don't need more water...

Thank you so fucking much dude. Going out to buy a heat mat right now, and im going to force my humidity dome to humidify.

don't mist the leaves everyday... You need to encourage them to put roots down so they go looking for water, if they get constant moisture through you misting the leaves constantly it could slow rooting and run the risk of mould if you are not careful.... ;-)
