Are they? I don't remember where or what i read but i read something that now has imprinted the impression on me that Advanced Nutrients are not the same anymore and got bought out or something??

Are they still the good nutrients that they used to be?

LOL! This can be a hot button topic around here..... AN does "work" BUT-

I don't think any of the top end growers use AN.

AN is a parasite on the growing community! They make stupid "claims" about results from the huge amount of products they make. The thing being is that you don't NEED all that CRAP separated into all those "miracle" supplements to grow great buds at any "level". In fact the level of "grower" thing is an outright LIE!

In the end your paying HIGH dollars for watered down nutrients and supplements that, for the most part - don't or shouldn't have been, In separate packaging! They used to be SO BAD, that they had the SAME 2 chemicals in 3 different packages. Listed to do 3 different things! Of course, you only needed one of those with the right mix ratio to do all 3 jobs....The point of that is to confirm that all they are trying to do is get YOUR MONEY and charge too much for their products too!
They did drop the 3 "same' things down to 1 or 2 from pressure by growers who speak the truth!

So, I (and many others) Call AN a rip off and basically they lie about way to much about what their products actually do!

All of his chemical engineer's have quit or been fired because, they have been at odds with the owner on how he presents his product.

One of them has started his own line and,,,,,Has the old GF of the AN owner with him!

So then AN is something you would be better off avoiding..

I would look at Hesi and Canna products first!

Thanks guys, i'll look for a different brand. Dynagrow is getting a lot of recommendations. I know botanicare and GH are good too. I've heard that Canna is now shit. I heard they changed something up and its got A LOT of salt build up now. Any one confirm this?

Edit: I also use gh armor si throughout the lifespan so it's not that I'm a brand loyalist, just had some, next nutrient purchase is the canna line, it's much cheaper and soluable potash is soluable potash(I think)

I've dabbled with many nutrient lines...but I always seem to gravitate back to my good old standby.Dynagro 7-9-5 or the 9-3-6.

I like the 9-3-6 through veg, switching to the 7-9-5 in flower supplemented with potassium sulfate for bulking and magnesium sulfate to combat chlorophyll loss in flower. The extra sulfate bring out the essential oils and terpenes we all are looking for more of.

Those ratios seem really high in nitrogen for a flowering plant, they must get really green and not fade.

Have you ever run the All Pro? I'm considering picking up a gallon and trying a few runs with it, and 50/50 with Bloom in flower. Similar to Jack's. I'm about to drop using bloom all together and run FP until the gallon is empty.

I don't THINK so! I have a close friend who uses the line (Terra) and I haven't seen that in his grows!

He and I had a back and forth over Hesi vs Canna. I really loved Hesi in soil. He said they have expensive supplements you need to use.....I said I didn't use the "ROOTS or SUPER VIT" as I substituted Kelp extract for it and the extract does the same job for WAY less! I got the same results my way as Hesi's too! So my Hesi came in WAY less in cost over Canna.......I always watered with a simple bio tea once a week also.

I say try Hesi - watch the Utube using Hesi and learn the daily watering method!

From what I hear Canna is damn good shit. I hear one of their reps on the Dude Grows Show and he talked about how they try to source the best materials from around the globe to make their nutes and a lot of guys who "know" use canna. I mostly grow organic but I like to try nutes on some side by sides and see what happens.

Source the best materials from around the world???...lol.

This isn't just directed at canna in particular, but all these nutrients are made from the cheapest stuff on earth bro...you can by 25lb bags of "the best materials from around the world" for a few bucks.Stop being taken in by the hype and bullshit that seems so prevalent in the cannabis growing niche agricultural field.Cannas MPK or calcium nitrate is the same shit that can be found in fucking miracle grow at Wal-Mart.Its not the ingedients,it's how they are applied that makes all the difference.
