Dear friends,
I wanted to let you know about a new petition I created on We the People, a new feature on WhiteHouse.gov, and ask for your support. Will you add your name to mine? If this petition gets 99,999 signatures by May 19, 2016, the White House will review it and respond!
We the People allows anyone to create and sign petitions asking the Obama Administration to take action on a range of issues. If a petition gets enough support, the Obama Administration will issue an official response.
You can view and sign the petition here:

Here's some more information about this petition:
Decriminalize marijuana nationally, and remove cannabis from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act.
We the people want a complete decriminalization of marijuana nationwide. A plant that so many people use everyday should not be a criminal act. Arresting, imprisoning and fining people who use marijuana cannot continue. Prohibition of alcohol did not work and the prohibition of marijuana will not work.
In a free society the people should let themselves decide what they eat, drink, and smoke. The current laws in most states are outdated, discriminatory and frankly appalling. Billions of dollars have been wasted, countless lives have been ruined and destroyed by the current laws. Help the government understand that the people in this country want change. Sign the petition and spread the word.
