To All You Gorillas

This question is to all you gorillas out there. I am not a first timer by any means, but I am no Silverback gorilla either. My question is, how many of you guys have had feds/cops get your grow from air?
I like to limit my grow to 6-8 females max to hide from the eyes in the sky... would they even waste the time to stake out that small of a grow, to try to catch the grower?

None of my patches have ever been found by the law. Rippers have got a few over the years.

The local law puts out game cameras and bust folks here. I don't think they look too hard from the air. A lot of the federal grant money for aviation fuel is gone, so they are not flying as much. What will happen is someone has a fight with their girlfriend. The girlfriend calls the cops. The cops fly over, so they can say they spotted it from the air. Then they put out the cameras.

Always wear your turkey mask when near your plants. And keep it on for a ways going and coming. The most well known grower around here was busted with a camera. He went almost a 1/4 mile from his patch before taking off his mask, but they had kept moving the camera further back on the trail until they got him.

If you're not in a legal state don't grow outside.

I know a lot of growers are proud of their outdoor hidden grows but I personally find it stupid to do so. Not only are you putting your grow somewhere anyone can find it but chances are you're also going to be growing enough weight to put you away for awhile.

I tried to grow a clone from my CPDA last fall using lights. I worried more about that little 9 inch plant those two weeks than I did about any of my outdoor stuff. {I put the clone in the yard to let it finish} When you grow indoor, you always have the evidence right there in your house to put you away. I may end up with too much weight, but I can always bury it and just break it out when I need more seeds.

This Larry ..nailed it ...

it s getting too easy

by far the most busts are just as Larry says

but for some reason every large town has a green area

that gets busted same month same place same class of person

every year for the last 40 years, so why not stake it out,

from the cops view it adds to the promotion or holiday list

Never had a patch raided, but I am in a very Wooded climate.
Aint enough money for air anymore. Legalization next year here in Canada and also of US states going for legalization. Funding just isnt there. Be more worried about rippers. Steak out your plot if you can.

You sound paranoid if that is how you truly react to a single small plant inside your home.

There is no denying growing outside carries it's own set of risks compared to growing indoors.

If you take all possible pre-cautions the only way you can get busted in doors is loose lips.

Outdoors anyone can stumble across your grow, no matter how hidden.

But of course it's just my personal stance and why I don't grow outdoors. You're welcome to do as you will as long as you can accept the risk associated with it.

Last summer was my first grow after taking 11 years off. I was just a little jumpy about risk. I have way more to lose than a few pounds of weed. I slipped up and became a well respected member of the community while I was on the wagon. It's a position I don't want to give up.

I've been growing in the woods since the late 70's, and have never had a patch found by anyone I didn't show it to. Finding spots with good cover and sun is second nature to me. Trusting folks after a couple of friends turned out not to be is a little harder. Now no one sees my smoke until it's in the rolling tray.

And from what I read, fire is a common way for indoor growers to get busted. Not all electricians are created equally.

If I was growing far from my home, with no way to watch the daily coming and going of people on the nearby roads, I would be more worried. But when my neighbors or I see a strange car stopped beside the road, we stop to ask if we can help. That translates into who are you and what are you doing here.
