Some questions for first grow

So, I'm a new grower trying to get some free bud. I got a 5x5 apollo tent, two 600w mars hydro leds, two ventech 8" fans and a filter, all the ducting, dual outlet grounded timer, ph meter/lumens/moisture/etc meter, humidity/temperature meter, and more small things. I'm hoping to be able to supply myself and my s.o. with full-time smoke.

Waiting on the ducting/y splitter to arrive (7 days) so I can hook up the fans before I start germination. I have over 100 bagseed of various kinds of medical. Going to start a grow journal as soon as I start germinating

Looking for advice on a few things. I've searched around and found the answers to most of my questions but I've also found a lot of conflicting information. These are stuff I have issues finding answers to while searching:

(All questions assuming I want maximum yield out of my area)

Should I germinate all seeds and keep the best? I have no problem with using all of them

I have a 5x5x7.5 area. How many plants should I plan on having? Would I be better doing a scrog or no?

How many square inches/feet should each plant have?

I'm planning doing soil since most places say it's easier for a first time grower. Do you agree?

Should I germinate now or wait for my ducting/ventilation?

You could use that space a ton of different ways and a lot of them would give you max yeild. You could run 4 plants or 20 plants and still get the same yeild. Everyone will have a different opinion, i'd run hydro because that's my preference. I think it depends on the person if it's hard to get started or not, i had great success starting with it.

Yeah germinate now, they won't smell for awhile and you don't need that much light(which would cause heat and need ventilation). You could even leave the tent door open for now to exhaust heat because major light leaks won't matter for germ and veg.

I'd have to see the tent myself and figure out what exactly i'd do. I honestly don't know what I'd do just because i'd have to think and plan it out. Right now I run a 2x2 scrog where i only veg for 4 weeks, so i know i could do 4 2x2's and have some breather room in the tent. Other than that i'd have to do some experimenting to find out what would work best for me in that size space.

There are guys running larger spaces like that on here, i'm sure they'll be by to provide some good insight on what they do. There are a alot of factors to consider so not everyones grow will fit with what you want but with enough knowledge you'll find one that works for you.

Ditch those leds & go vertical. Hang some bare bulbs in there

If you insist to go horizontal, I'd def recommend scrogging. It would be helpful if you can access sides of the tent.

Why two fans? You will not need a 8" inch fan for intake. You wont need any intake fan. That 8" will create negative pressure nice and then your intake air is passive, particularly as your running led, you wont have the same heat issues as hid. But that tent would be killer for a vert grow with hid.

I recommend just grabbing some seeds off the net. Get some fem seeds and you're away. No fucking around with males

Don't do that
