I see in the background in pic 2 "Hamburguesa con bebida 3.50 C" (Hamburger & drink) not sure what 3.50 C equals in dollars but it sounds cheapWhat is the difernce in the cost of living there compared to the usa??All your plants look great..ky
Thanks man, we've come from the UK so I can't tell you the difference from the Us but compared to home the cost of living is much cheaper food and living is a lot cheaper. Certain things are a lot more expensive here but the cheaper living expenses make up for it. The laid back way of life here is awesome me and the family are really starting to settle in now. Nice to have you here! What is the difernce in the cost of living there compared to the usa??All your plants look great..ky
Simple google says €3.50 is bang on $4 can't be bad for a burger and beer! The quality of food here is so much better than the UK local and fresh it's really self sufficient with a lot of the spanish growing their own produce, it's cool to see coming from the UK.I see in the background in pic 2 "Hamburguesa con bebida 3.50 C" (Hamburger & drink) not sure what 3.50 C equals in dollars but it sounds cheap
I can only compare our life in Southern California to our life in Southern Spain, so not really US vs Spain on a whole.... anyways, it's WAYYYYYYYY cheaper. Our rent is fucking ridiculous. We are paying 750 euros (~850 dollars) for a 4 bedroom amazing amazing house on a beautiful giant property, like 3 acres. No neighbors, near an amazing town. Pool and everything. I think the house is like 1,600 sq.ft. We rent a car for 300 euros all included. You should see what we buy at the grocery store for 20 euros. It's seriously unbelievable. Also, as Mr.Green said, the food is of much better quality. For one they don't use High Frutose Corn syrup at all.... I think it's banned in Europe. Fresh fruit and veg, for super cheap. QUality meats, local again. What is the difernce in the cost of living there compared to the usa??All your plants look great..ky
You are so much much better at explaining things than me lol it takes me about half hour to think what to say! LolI can only compare our life in Southern California to our life in Southern Spain, so not really US vs Spain on a whole.... anyways, it's WAYYYYYYYY cheaper. Our rent is fucking ridiculous. And how about health insurance. We were paying $2,800 a month (we had good insurance) in the states. And when we had our baby we got a bill for like $16,000. Here, we have good insurance, with dental, for the whole family for 1,900 euros a YEAR! And we don't pay to see doctors at all, no copay. Pills are cheap as all get out. 600 mg ibuprofen at the pharmacy is like 2 euros for a pack of 60. My wife got a medicine for her head that in the states was 475 $ for the generic. Here she got the name brand, galaxo smith cline for 11 euros.... and that was double the dose of the ones in the US.
We are paying 150 euros a month for pre school for the little girl. That includes lunch each day.
Not sure what else there is. Shit is cheap.
Except for the things that are expensive.... they are fucking expensive. Electronics for example. Some other seemingly random things are also super expensive. It's a trip. For the most part things are much cheaper, and when they aren't they are way more expensive.
Gas is expensive. Electricity is expensive. Water for the house is expensive. So no one grows indoors, haha. And hardly anyone (compared to the US) drives. It's great for me as I drive a lot... no one on the roads. I love it.
I love love love living here. Absolutely crushed I have to move back later this year.
Sounds awesome mate be sure to Post someWe planted a veggie garden yesterday. Tons of stuff. 3 types of tomato, 2 types of green pepper, 2 types of eggplant, 2 types calabacines, 2 types of melon, onions, a squash, and a couple other things in forgetting. We got 5 of each.
