All is not lost!!! My seeds have germinated and gone into the jiffy greenhouse.

Well it's may,it's almost that time to start getting everything outside.anxious to start getting into the bush and put my gals in the sun.

I hear ya,i know where iam going this yr,still running recon real thin right now getting some rain next couple days things will green up fast.i even dug some holes this year,first time in 20 years. I remember why I grow in swamps now

It's been cool and rainy here for the past few days. My starts are not liking it but they are holding their own. The weather is suppose to be back to the 70s and 80s in a couple of days and hopefully here to stay.

Down this way we call it skunk cabbage.grows where it's damp most of the year.its one of the first things to come out in the spring.even before fiddle heads,lol

I c its alittle different than the wild cabbage up north, I will get a pic next time out we have more ferns up this way,got to be smart to walk thur an leave no trail,already picked 100lbs fiddle heads 2,50 a lb not bad 2- 4 hour days

The fiddle heads are on the edge a bit drier,they are popping up all over.i like the cabbage because they hid lower part of pot and help keep them moist.gotta walk thru like you never were there

No skunk cabbage my way, too far west I guess, though I don't hang out in swamps down here. Cottonmouths can have the swamps and the 85% humidity. I read it's protected in Tennessee.
