It has something to do with the cold waters that are unique to the currents that flow through Penobscot Bay. I'm no expert but it's true.

Well I have tonsay NS lobster and Maine lobster are the same exact species.... The reason Maine lobster is the "best" is because of how well known it is for it and like gandalf said how there are generations of lobstermen that are still going strong. Being a fisherman is a way of life in Maine not just a job, idk Maine is a weird ass fuxking place lol
