What are your soil mixes?here are some Mosca C99 having both been pollinated with an Irie cookie stomper male, great sugary terps present, tallest pheno approx 3', very different growth types probably cos of different soil mixesView attachment 3668342 View attachment 3668343 View attachment 3668345 View attachment 3668346
they reek to the point of ridiculous...but its the best reek ever...just ultra gassy pungent fuel, no matter how many times its wrapped in bags the odour just carves through it, gotta be vac sealed numerous times for transport/storage ...lol crazy stuffHa ha bloody hell, they must reek!
i experimented with 3 different soil mixes this season, 1. - 30% local red clay soil with 70% horse manure, 2. - 30% perlite with 70% mix of 50/50 coco & horse manure, 3. - 100% pure premium potting mix, the first 2 types did well, the 3rd type was a disaster with a long running root rot fungal disease present which no amount of top grade mycorrhizal treatment could control, the fungal disease thrives and cannot be stopped in pure potting mix, im looking forward to adding 30% perlite with the first mix mentioned, the heavy red clay soil sort of set very hardWhat are your soil mixes?
on page 6 there is a pic of 2 x Mosca C99, pot on the left is the red soil with horse, pot on right is the perlite & coco/horseI'll be growing in manure mix this year (goat) but it's older manure . I hadn't thought of Coco and the manure.. Your ladies look great btw! Comparing the 2 in the pic above, which is which when referring to the mix ?
thanks man, you should be ok if the manure is old, i like to add natural substances like that with perlite & coco cos it adds a buffer & not totally reliant on fert feeding every day via liquid nutesI'll be growing in manure mix this year (goat) but it's older manure . dunno joe, those 3 MK are just not impressing me in any way? beans were from sealed breeders packs, resin production reminds of some poor quality type ditchweed i havnt seen in many yrs, small bud growth in all phenos, very similar plants allround, only good thing is reasonable terp profile, havnt smoked any yet, MK is listed as mainly indica yet im struggling to see any indica?, MK listed as being caked in resin yet im seeing a very small amount? hoping the resulting crosses are going to be ok though im not holding much faith in that, very glad ive got other crosses happening cos if it was just these 3 girls i think i would feel pretty miserable...last thing to test is the smoke...in a few wksGreatly appreciated! Looks very appealing to the eye! Good job sir!
i wish you luck with yours, its a legendary strain, but many banks let the quality drop after a period of time, lesson i guess is to not rely on old classic strains that were good in yesteryear but grab the dank from recent banks like bodhi/sin city/ RD/GGG etc that heaps of peeps are growing out as we speak & there is definite fire from those banks at the momentGuess I'll germ all four mk ultra at the same time and see what I get. I've read other reviews agreeing with what you said so I'm also not expecting much. Hopefully your crosses will have much better quality.
