What systems would be better?
I'm sure somewhere, i do dwc so i havn't looked into aeroIs there a link to build one ??
I've grown both side by side and if there was a difference in growth I didn't see it. DWC is a lot less fidgety, nothing to clog or filter with single buckets. Just a pump and airstone.Depends on the person, space available and so on. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. In a perfect world I'm pretty sure Aero is the top contender.

The biggest downside to both is needing to keep nute temps under control.

Is there a link on ebay or amazon to the timer you talking about ?The plants wont die in minutes With decent quality nutes (no lumps) and the correct nozzles you wont get any clogging, especially if you run it drain-to-waste. A pump that runs a few minutes a day will last for years. 12v dc pumps, timers and solenoids make the nute delivery immune to mains power outages.
what do you need then for aeroponic causing running the pump on for 24/7 will heat up the water right ?I would but you wont find them on ebay or amazon If your planning to go for bubbleponic or low pressure aero you dont need anything special.
What range for res temp? Min maxJust my two cents but I would recommend not to consider a flooded or spray system unless you can keep the water temps consistently under 70 or you will have issues. I tried low pressure sprayer's and went back to flood and drain due to a few reasons but manly simplicity and no difference in growth. And yes the spray heads do clog on occasion, plant material and other stuff does get in there. It's the Res temps, IMO, that are the key to maximizing the grow, unless able to deal with them, pick something else .
My opinion also.real deal high pressure aeroponic is about the best there is.
