Did I just kill my plant? Re-potted it.

Hey guys, I decided it was about time to put my plant in a new pot, since the old one was about to burst because of the root density.
So I got a 18L bucket and before I filled it with earth I put some soilage on the ground because it felt like the right thing to do. I had topped the plant 10 days ago and I really hope I did not stress it too much, what are your repotting experiences? Did I do everything correctly or was the hay at the bottom a bad Idea?
Furthermore I did not make any drainage holes in the bucket, dis a problem??

Re: not having drainage holes; have you ever see a potted plant, ANY kind of potted plant that didn't have drainage holes? Emphatically yes - you need drainage holes and if you don't add them your plant may have a short life.

I left a lavender plant like that for about a year, it's still alive:)

I'm curious about the hay on the bottom; I've never heard of anyone doing that, but I'm open to learning something new. What does the hay do?

What the grass clippings do is hold too much water, encourage fungas gnats, mites, critters etc into your grow and also it makes garden weeds grow out of the soil, leaching it out. Try not to do this again mkay.

I'll make a few holes as soon as I get to it, I think a hot svreedriver should work just fine for this.

Hope it won't create too much of a bad smell when it starts composting. And yea, you got some legit points there... won't happen again!

Why are there other seedlings sprouted in there?
At some point I just took some soil from my backyard, that's why there a few other plants growing in the same pot

Thank you for the advice I appreciate it, I will dril a few holes and move the plant in the tent as soon as my lights arrive.

Go get something worth a damn. Like some Sunshine #4 (I like the yellow bales), the black bales are nice too. Or some ProMix.

I figured it wouldn't be worth it to get some high grade soil for a punch of bag seed, moreover it is not so easy to get special soil mixes here in center europe, I went with some graveyard mixture since it had a similar nutrient ratios as cannabis flowering soils. (and it is way cheaper than soil specifically for growing cannabis) I got a 20l (5gallon) bag of soil for 2€
the pH of the substrate is 6.2 so it should work just fine.

I had planned to keep the plant in veg for another 2 weeks so the roots can get a foothold before putting it into flowering. Any objections?

Whats that hanging down from top of tent? Your not planning on using that light for your grow, are you?If you wanted drainage small rocks or large pebbles would be a better idea

Nah mane, of course not! I ordered a pack of studio-grade CFLs (about 110Watts in total) on amazon, I'm just waiting for them to arrive here, until then I depend on sunlight mostly, that's why the plant is so long and stretchy I suppose. And yea, I know this is probably the wackiest grow on this forum but hey, it's my first attempt ^^

One more thing tho, please tell me these the white/greenish filaments on pic related are pistils. Otherwise I would be really disappointed since I spend alot of effort on this plant, more than I am proud to admit.

You can use pretty much any potting mix from any hardware. Far better than some garden soil. That's just asking for trouble.

Also, you can still grow fine weed out of bag seed.
