Hi guys so I just bought myself some boveda packs as I have only heard good things I will be harvesting very soon but not sure how to go about using it. Only reply if your a experienced grower thanks
That's the experience he was looking for. Great post by the way.You just toss them in the jar you put your dried buds into.
There's a great thead on here somewhere explaining the different stages of curing that has RH levels listed that the jar should be kept at over the course of the cure. I'll see if I can find it and link it. I'm waiting on some hygrometers to arrive that I ordered online and I will be making a set of 12 lids to have curing jars.

Here the basis of the jar idea
Thanks much Bose! That thread was like coming across a gold mine when I found it, in the past I have always had issues with "green" tasting weed and not curing correctly. Maintaining RH inside the curing jars will be a great way to ensure a proper even cure. That's the experience he was looking for. Great post by the way.
That's the exact one i ordered that I'm going to use as the "control" to be able to compare the readout accuracy of the jar lids I make. I will likely post a diy on how to do it after I have completed.Drying and curing takes some time to learn.
I try to get my humidity stable at around 60% then add the boveda 62. I use theseView attachment 3678962
I'm going to be making themThe lids your making or buying them like that?
I'd like to know how they work out for you. I did look at them did not want to pay the priceI'm going to be making them
I'm not sure I even found anywhere to purchase lol, as soon as I saw the picture on here I asked the guy where he got the hygrometers and ordered them. Only difficult part should be getting a nice clean hole in the metal lid. I will gladly let you know how it works, if simple enough I'll gladly throw up a diy with pics.I'd like to know how they work out for you. I did look at them did not want to pay the price

Good lookin! I will remember that if I need too, carbide hole saw basically, gotcha. Hopefully will have the tools to do it at my house but if not can always make a trip to Home Depot or order one.
That's even better
I'm guessing this is just a plastic replacement for ball lids? Not a bad idea because the two piece design of ball can get quite annoying, (might seal the two together before inserting the hygrometer into the lid) might order some of these and try some plastic ones too. Personally just like the look of keeping original lid.
As I could do that, or just simply drop my small digital hygrometers in there, im not doing these out of need, simply because I'm addicted to little clever diy things and also looks sweet and would like some to cure my own buds in.At that price I would just Velcro them or glue them to the inside of the jar lid, it would be a little more difficult to read but you could roll the weed in the jar around till you can see the RH. Just a thought. Good luck
