Sounds good thanks man. Yeah i don't want to chop up my huge buds either and remember you only showing the pic of them laying there but not in jars didnt kno if u had found big enough jars. You know it, on the time clock now! I'm eyeing some 1.9 Liter Balls jars on Amazon , wondering if i could fit the big cola's in those?

What kind of dry time did those big buds take?

I've not yet had a perfect harvest/cure because I hadn't dried long enough my past two grows. My first grow doesn't smell like anything cuz i jarred too soon and my second smells like mint tea in the jar but after its been in a bag for 10 min it reaks like skunk(so that one got much better).

I hang dried everything for 5 days, then put into paper bags for a few more days and then jarred and bagged it up. I wouldn't suggest following this way though. The drying is definitely something I need to improve on.
And yeah, pretty much the same as the cardboard box method! I've done that before and preferred it, as you can give the box a good shake to move all the buds around! There's something very satisfying about shaking a big fuck off box full of cannabis!

Yeah that danm drying and curing process is scary man, you spend all these months and can fuck it up like that. I think I got a good idea of what to do by letting it dry a little more this time, only thing is my last grow was airy as all hell and these buds are gunna be giant and thick so hopefully I don't fuck it up. I think i'd have to buy a refrigerator to have a box big enough for all these buds

Just did a bunch of reading about heavy sativa's. Sounds like this is pretty typical of having these secondary new bud growths out of ripe buds. Sounds like it's just a Sativa thing that's seen a lot. With my main mass of my buds having all cloudy trichromes(and just did a good looking today at the buds on the plant with my scope and am now seeing amber trichs on both top and lowest buds) I'm in the harvest window now or I can just keep waiting while these new spurts keeping going and ripening. Since I have LSD anxiously awaiting the 600w I'm going to call it this weekend and chop this girl down finally. If I see any reasonable change in the next few days i'll wait until the weekend after but I doubt I will. I think I'd benefit more having LSD under the 600w than just allowing little bud shoots to ripen on Original Amnesia.

And yes, I can confirm what you read about sativas and foxtailing, nl5xhaze does that too. Interestingly, it's not only sativas - on my first grow, I had whitelabel superskunk autos, and had I left them they would probably still be going on and on and on LOL
Thing is, the THC does start breaking down at some point (=that's the dark brown trichs, not the same as amber!). So there comes a point where the new growth isn't worth waiting out since all the older iciness is going down the drain. And that point is when you start seeing those brown trichs on the main bud mass at the latest
So yes, from what you wrote I agree it's chop time - you're going to pull masses from that plant! Enjoy!!!

So i chopped Original Amnesia yesterday, boy did i underestimate that!

But anyway, i put LSD down in my tent with the 600w. And now she smells like rotten trash!? It's so weird, humidity is the same as Amnesia was lights out around 66% and lights on around 40%. Temps low of mid 60F and high of 81F.
And she didn't smell up in my closet, it's only been maybe 19 hours of being in the tent and she just smells like rotten trash?

I don't see anything wrong whatsoever. My res smells completely normal, just did fresh res change today. My ventilation is still going as normal. I grew amnesia in these exact conditions for 2.5 months so idk whats up.

Any of you experience rotten trash smelling weed plant lol

I've never had that happen or nothing close when you rub the plant or the bud nubbins does it come off on your hand? I've used botanicare grape sweet because of the sulfur content hopefully she will grow out of it

Actually, I did have my plants stinking for a while. It was on my first nl5xhaze grow and I had set the lights pretty close down to the canopy because I was scared of the sativa stretch. The girls stank. It was a harsh acrid hashy smell - and it disappeared the moment I raised my lights more.
I had been reading into RM3'S theory that weed doesn't smell if it has adequate conditions, so I put the change in smells down to that. It was the only way I could explain the bad smell and the change to sweet and complex scents after I changed the setup.
So given nothing else is off, maybe she is just reacting to the change in light intensity?
Fie on her LOL she should be happy to be getting more now, not giving you the finger for it!

Lol i'd say! I thought it was just me, so i had my gf smell it too and sure enough it stank.

After posting that's exactly where my mind went actually, I thought I saw some signs I was a couple inches too low so I had raised the light up when i first smelled it yesterday but didn't really make the connection then. I believe you're right on though, I'll move the light up until I find the sweet(smelling) spot.

Right!? I give her more light and her own tent all to herself and this is how she repays me?

Yeah never heard of bud smelling like bin juice! Perhaps it is some sort of shock or stress from being introduced to the higher wattage bulb, hope raising the light sorts it

It looks like your problems are temporary & if you're gonna have problems those are the best kind ! are ou using floranova bloom ? start to finish? I'm using it now & it seems to be working I'm using root stimulant (dyna-gro) I've got enough of the 3- part nutes to do50 grows but if the floranova bloom works I t would simplify things for me I bought another waterfarm instead of growing 2 plants at once I would prefer to veg 1 plant under the t-5s while the other finishes off this method is so different than e&f its like starting the learning process all over I'm really wanting to simplify the nutes&addatives really interested in the amnesia harvest results I've grown indica & sativas but my real preference is hybrids leaning towards the sativa side with a 60-70 day finish time

haha yeah two weeks more like two months!! After reading about other people saying the same thing about secondary growth I said fuck it. Not to mention my trichromes ambering up and all the rest full cloudy. I'll get some pics up later today! I wish everyone could really see how big the buds are, I know you at least know with your monster buds last harvest! I put a soda can next to it to show size but still doesn't help show how huge they are!
I thought since I already cleared a lot of leaves it wouldn't be that bad but the hours starting ticking away like seconds and I realized I was in for a big one!

Sounds like you are doing it right man! It's actually pretty funny @calliandra mentioned RM3, I was actually telling my gf about him and his smellless plants after I had her smell my rotten trash plant haha
I never smell my plants but I think it's just because I'm used to it, my gf will tell me when the house stinks but i never know haha thankfully i have her to be my nose. If i do ever smell them it's never a skunk smell either, it's like a delicious spice or some other kind of herbally smell. But i smelled that rotten smell, that's for sure!

Yupper, I ran that for Original Amnesia (clearly fantastic results) and am now doing it with LSD. I started and ran two grows with the trio series but it's so much easier to just do one bottle of flora nova with identical results. I've got it pretty dialed in too because no matter what the EC is it's always the same makeup since it's one bottle so my note taking/record keeping is very easy. So far with both plants I found the plants don't want over about 1.4 EC of Flora Nova Bloom at their heaviest. During late veg they'll take up to 1.7 EC but that borders on nute burn so I just stick right under 1.4 EC at the highest, it also allows me to see when she wants the decline in nutes later in flower. Very easy to judge what she wants to eat with one makeup of nutes.

I do have some Canna PK 13/14 and Canna Bioboost, so when i do a week of the PK i lower the FloraNova so I don't burn. But the Canna Bioboost I run at small amounts through the whole grow, it's not that strong of an EC though so doesn't really effect feeding schedule.

Yeah I never want to grow a sativa like that again, I prefer a quick harvest and 4 months of flowering alone is just not for me. I prefer the indica high way better than sativa anyway. Original Amnesia was quoted at 65-70 days, but we see how that ended up. I think I had a super strong sativa phenotype with her.

I've got to agree on how much more simple the floranova is to use than the 3 part which I have gallons of my plan is to run floranova until transition then run the soul synthetics as it has a gang of stuff both natural & synthetic in it but the nitrogen numbers are very low or I would be using it now I'm going back to 1 plant at a time gonna build a scrog today I really like the one you built
